No improvements here guys, it's all dead and getting worse.

Last day of January is really pathetic :(

Is there a page view or impression delay right now?

Is anyone else noticing some very low numbers today?

My revenue, clicks, CPM is normal - no issues there.

However, my impressions and page views are very, very low - where it should be 3 times as high by this point.

I have a red bar so things are delayed.

@ember. I don't have a red bar showing, which is what made me worry a bit - but my other ad networks are in normal range and since clicks were normal it didn't make sense.

We are about 30% down with adx, thats mainly because of two things. First, there is less reach on facebook so our traffic has gone down by 15%. The other is always the same every year Jan and Feb are the worst months.

Our content creation has gone up over 30 articles a day targeting keywords. We are also redoing old content and updating them. Already seeing the bump in traffic. Stay positive everyone :).

@Nick touche.. But for the record you personally have been way,way more helpful than Mr.Google rep. I know I have work to do... I know this is a VERY complicated equation.

Pageviews on AdSense bumped to 40K from 34K but earnings remained same :(

This is completely crazy! Things looked soemewhat back to normal in the last weeks with a CPM of about 4 USD on average (still lower than usual yet not that abysmal) and today, out of the blue...0 clicks and only backup ads across all my best site, including homepage. What the hell is Google doing? Have they recrawled my site entirely to date, I suppose, but suddently they start sending only crappy ads for no apparent reason whatsoever. This is not a business relationship any longer, this has become a Russian roulette!

Changed the placements and still, seeing no improvements yet. I'm helpless, what a bad phase :(

Today got a click from Germany (Developed country) and one click from Pakistan (3rd World country). Both are of same value. Either Germany is in bad economy or need to change position of Pakistan.

@Unshiny thanks for the kinds words. The difference between me and the AdSense reps is that I have skin in the game. When my ads stop showin' my pay checks stop flowin'.

@riccarbi, things are look steady on my end. If things continue, this will be an okay month. Did you contact AdSense and get your site reviewed?

I am noticing some worrying pattern.

The ads on my site, like everybody reported here for their sites, are low quality and less contextual. The degraded quality of ads make them less likely to be clicked on, and even if they are clicked, the CPC is peanuts.

But on the other hand, large media houses which use AdSense and the ads shown on Reddit sidebar, for example, are not only better quality wise but also are contextual and something I would click.

Perhaps Google has sufficient inventory but the so called "Brand Protection" strategy also involves filtering out top publishers and supplying only them with the quality ads of high paying advertisers.

@TheWarrior have you checked to see where the ads are coming from. AdSense allows third party networks which often are not as well target as AdWords ads tend to be.

Has anyone had this happen to them before?

I've been with Adsense for going on 15 years, I've lived in numerous addresses, numerous states - and now all of a sudden I receive a message when I logged in , that I have to verify my address with some pin that was mailed out.

What the hell is going on?

I think I know what happened now. I spoke to a few people who said for whatever reason Adsense sent their 1099 to their old address. Appears to be a long thread about this in their support forum too.

I never got my 1099 and I have a feeling it was sent to the old address and then kicked back to Google's offices, which is what cause the verify address issue

Since early last year (2017) my Adsense revenues have been falling steadily every month. Nothing I do changes this trend, so I believe it is a global issue. Google's been top dog for 15 years or more. I've been on Adsense since 2003, so, it's been a good ride, but I do believe their model is broken. They cannot keep generating revenue sufficient to satisfy a growing number of publishers.

Like everything, the better days are behind us. I don't see it improving, especially since the global economy is so far tilted toward mega-corporations, multi-nationals, giant companies with unlimited budgets. This is sad for the internet as a whole, because it was supposed to be more "democratic." If I decide to even continue in this line of work, I'll probably be selling ads myself, like I did when I was a newspaper publisher (1980s).

Too bad. Google broke the internet.

This is the reality. The thought that no amount of hard work will change things is so depressing. Time to move on to other things..

Chinese New Year Holiday starts from tomorrow, all of my advertisers (Gearbest, GeekBuying) will be offline for more than two weeks, no payment or ads in the meantime :( This month is really bad.

I haven't seen ONE ad from AdSense on either of my sites for about a week now. I have them on the right rail and matched content at the bottom of the main site. NADA...ZILCH...ZIP WTH is going on?

Since last two days I'm seeing the astrologer ads "Worried about your career ads? We can help you!". I've never searched this and the site has nothing to do with astrologer. Last time I've seen these ads in August! There's something wrong with AdSense ad targeting, they are just not admitting.

Need ad placement advise folks.

If I remove the responsive ad unit from mobile header, and put it right below the article image. The earnings will drop? The site structure after this change would be:

Menu bar
Article Title
Featured Image
320x250 Ad
Content

Update! The Chrome browser was blocking all the ads on my sites. I do NOT have the adblocker extension installed. I switched to Firefox and the ads are showing.

@azlinda, did your website fail the ad standards review?

If you site fails their ad review, Chrome blocks all of the ads on your site until you fix it and submit for review.

I would check your webmaster tools.

@Azlinda your ad impressions must be down to hell then? It's not possible for Chrome to block ads before 15th. It was supposed to be a server side update :/

I can confirm. Updated Chrome and is blocking the ads only on some articles. Weird. It maybe a coverage issue or blank ad thing, ads are collapsed tho.

im not seeing any issues like that. I am having an error updating chrome on my computer but my phone is showing all ads and chrome is up to day. Also doesnt seem to be less pageviews than normal.

Has anyone who is having issues with ads showing up been reviewed in webmaster tools?
