So far today things are looking quite promising although it's still very early for me. I've only had seven clicks so far today but my CPC has actually been rising and is now at 40p, I like that a lot.

Over 1000 visitors and not a click all day. A mate in the US said it took him a while to find an advert. Don't know why I see them in the UK, but he has trouble seeing them in the US.

July was down on all accounts, especially CPM/CPC.

Blimey, not sure why today is so special. My page RPM is £10.19, my CPC is 37p and so far I've had seven clicks.

Hello to all,
It is a disaster. Since July 15th, Adsense put me the penalty of the double - click with the banner " visit site " which displays when one visitor click one of my announcements.

Consequence: the CTR totally flopped until 0,1.

On July 25th, the penalty in removed and everything went up again.

But on Sunday, July 29th, now the penalty is back and the CTR is thus catastrophic...

Have you also this penalty from your par ? It justifies a total reduction in the CTR in a sudden way

Sorry for my english, i'm french. Thanks

@DavD the only warning I have ever had from Google is for content and my websites. I've never had any warnings for double-clicking or anything related to the way people use my ads.

The "visit this site" "double click" is not really a penalty. Adsense displays it, when there are too many "accidental" clicks. If your CTR collapsed, it's the proof that visitors are really accidentally clicking on ads since they do not confirm their will to visit the advertiser.

Just got a email that says there are popup ads on my site. Single complaint so far but is there any way to verify? It could be a accidental click.

July 2018 is the worst month of all time. My earnings lost more than 65%.

I got hit with the 'visit site' thing. Ugh. Time to work on my ad units. Get rid of the lower performing ads and adding 'advertisement' above them. Any other tips?

This was my worst weekend since the starting of the Adsense program.

It was 50% less than the usual pre-June figures and I'm talking about hundreds of $ here, not dollars or cents.

Dropped here too and I am talking hundreds of $ here as well. 30% drop so far.

Time to work on ad placements

Has anybody else noticed that Combi evening some of the AdSense units are appearing in different places? For example, I have a responsive link unit directly below my horizontal menu and above the main heading of the page. Recently, I've noticed that the responsive link unit has disappeared and another unit is appearing above the horizontal menu. It doesn't seem to have affected earnings so I'm not too fussy. In fact, Google must think that this is the best place for these type of ads during this period of time.

For "visit site", I added "advertising" above every announcement then I spaced out my announcements of my contents about 20 - 25 pixels.

The penalty was removed ten days later, but it returned three days later ...

Google does and there are most probably many others that still do, however compared to the halcyon days many would say their earnings have reduced from between considerably down to almost negligible.

For example I was 1,000+ clicks a day, now I'm lucky if I get 10+, this month has averaged 6 per day.

Google just can't get AdSense email right... it just said I have auto ads enabled but that's wrong.

Can someone tell me how to test my ads to see if I have the "Visit Site" message. I clicked on one with my phone but I don't want to get in trouble for false clicks. I'd like to see if specific ads are hit or the entire site

Hi, new here. Since May of this year we've been experiencing a lot of issues with invalid clicks on our websites. This has led to the removal of the "Nessie" arrow on some of our text ads, causing a significant drop on CTR. The penalty usually only lasts a few days but currently we've been in the penalty box for over a week. We've been investigating our traffic and haven't been about to root out anything suspicious so we are growing concerned.

Is anyone experiencing the same issue? I can't help but wonder if AdSense has decreased their threshold for invalid click penalties. Google recently ran a livestream that talks about invalid clicks so I can't help but wonder if there's been an increased focus on this area.

"Adsense for content" is like a dying man now.
A lot of sites and fewer ads each day, so they try to satisfy the advertisers by very long lengths.

In the end, Google will be fine, but we will close the sites soon.

It's not about profit now, it's about how much can we lose by hopping into an Adsense miracle.

July was the bottom of the barrel for me and I expect August to be much worse.

Since I configured Google DFP the right way my Adsense revenues gained a lot with less impressions. Problem here is that most of the webmasters don't get enough traffic and who does is to lazy to use DFP ;-)

@wobwobs blimey, your post is probably about a year behind everyone else's regarding the Nessie arrows :-)

@Runfun

I tried to link my AdSense account to DFP, and I could not. How do you do it? I already looked for tutorial, but none is very clear.
