Facebook is probably annoying me more than Adsense now.

Very low CPC today, anyone else notice the same?

Do you know, whats mean in targeting type this "Across the network"? I have sometimes more views on this instead contextual or personalized.

I have a .20 cpc not too bad but my clicks are low today. Inconsistent like always.

But Monday-Wednesday are usually my bad days. Things pick up on Thursday and slow down on Sunday night.

You have options: post your reply in the blank textarea below the last post and then click "Preview" or "Submit". The "Preview" button takes you to the same blank textarea now containing your post, along with formatting tools. The "Submit" button submits your post as is. It can then be edited for a short time.

To reply to a particular user, most of us use "@username" with the user's 'name'.

Decent RPM but weirdly still a bad day with low revenue

RPM 4.00 and CPC 0.12 (: (: (:

I can't remember the last time (almost all of January is like this) I had RPM below 5.00 and CPC between 0.12 - 0.15. Normally, CPC is between 0.18 and 0.23 and RPM between 8.00 -12.00. Until 2024 it was already ok, but it seems that next month I will have to start spending part of the saved money (:

Since 1997

I started online in 1999 and my main site is almost 20 years. Old school hand-coded html. I can't imagine having to update it. I do have some WP sites, but if I ever have to update my main site, then that's the end of my great internet experiment.

Just turned on the new, "Related search" / "Navigational units that link to suggested searches with ads" (Launched today).

Will test it for a few days and see how it goes.

So far no ad servings for that @MMedi26, and it has been a few hours.

On another note, my CPM keeps going down over the last week, before that it was at around 33% daily, now it’s at mid 20’s.

Just been going through my stats and things aren't as bad as i thought. The page views are almost level with what i had in mid-december, and the coverage has stayed at a steady 98-100% throughout, but for some reason the impressions have dropped by 30% which has reduced the number of clicks,

Given that i haven't changed anything on the site, and the coverage and placements are still the same, i haven't got a clue why that would be.

And of course the RPM has dropped, but that is normal for this time of year.

@Ember You could use a static site generator, like Hugo (what I use). This way you won't have to change much. I'm also still using HTML.

Anyway... back to Adsense. Yesterday RPM and CPC were good, but clicks were low. So total earnings still very low.

@MarkWarner, what I mean by an html site is that it has no css, no plugins, no shortcodes, no php, no database, etc. Very basic setup. It, my laptop, an internet connection and Adsense (as well as some private advertisers) have supported me comfortably for 20 years. This year, though, that could change, with the new payment system, cookie phaseout, etc.

@allhearts, @not2easy mentioned, in this thread, this site being an old one. So I said similar. I also mentioned adsense when talking about my old site. And if you want to be a stickler, no one is supposed to be talking specifics about their site, i.e.,actual epc, ctr or rpm numbers. Maybe Google changed things and I didn't get the memo, but that's been a longstanding rule.

Whether you you want to talk about CPC, RPM etc, it’s up to you, but at least it’s Adsense related, how your site is coded is NOT, I just think that should be a whole other topic.
