From the beginning of this summer we were fighting green (blue, red) download banners supplied by Google AdWords.
We've self cut our revenue just to be as friendly for our visitors as possible.
And now THAT!
AdSense, AdX decrese for 40%.
I don't hope Google will fix something.

The RPM drop in the past 2 days is indeed weird.

Omg, I thought I'm alone who has Indian's Patanjali ads everywhere.

@Mentat, do you see them in other countries too? Because I feel Geo targeting has messed up.

Can somebody tell me how I can identify where my ads come from? A lot of you are talking about Indian ads but I'm not sure how you know this. And like to know where the ads on my website are being posted from.

Today is even worse compared to Sunday when this started. We thought it was recovering a little yesterday, oh boy we were wrong.

Lots of unrelated ads from all over the world. Looking at ad reviews center I barely see any ads related to the content on the site and if I do they are for a local smaller store/shop. No big brands whatsoever. It is like it is filled with 1 pageview randomness.

I do however agree it must be something going on and this will be resolved once they fix it.

We still have our arrows by the way :D

Things were fairly back to normal yesterday but today one site in particular is once again filled with completely irrelevant ads. EPC is half what it normally is. And ads that I blocked a couple of days ago are now back.

We also have a drop in coverage. It has been stable for months. Went down 6% on Sunday, recovered a little yesterday.

Earnings yesterday weren't any lower than what I've been used to you lately

Do Google related ads such adsense pay high? My site is filled with adsense signup ads.

Just blocked all almost 100 download green button links last month. Earnings are down.
Again blocking Google Adsense ads and BABA Patanjali ads, I do not think Baba believes in giving money :)

You have got to be joking. If they paid good money for each click, or view then I would imagine Google would be paying millions of pounds out every hour. You'll get absolute minimum for a Google ads on your site. It's same with me, at certain times of the day my site is full of them. I think it's a case of filling a gap because nobody else is interested in the space. I bet they don't even pay for impressions, just clicks. And who is going to click on a Google ad?

I don't have the Patanjali ads but the Download ads all came back. Just got done blocking them. My sites are all down too.

Today had really high CTR around 5% which is unusual for me.
Found the reasons though. Adsense is drunk today, Google it a rest for the instead of hard game with soft toys :P

Something is wrong with AdSense today. I asked my AdSense manager, he confirmed to me that all of his clients' earning is down drastically.

Same boat, earnings down. Other networks are slightly up today though.

Yesterday we had a better average RPM, but still down about 20% - 25%.

Looking at Sunday. We had same amount of traffic, but 60k less ad views. Hence the lower coverage. CPM was horrible. In total about 1/3 lost revenue.

While we all have bad days. We don't usually have two bad days, going on three in a row. Thats why I am writing about it.

@MayankParmar Adsense Manager ? Wow how many PV you getting a month to get personal manager ? I am at 1.5M/mo and dont even know that personal managers exist =)

At about 3:00 PM suddenly 25% of the earnings for today where cut. I can't believe why other big tech companies challenge Google/Alphabet to compete with online advertisements. I would definitely try it because this seems one of the biggest robberies of all times with the several million publisher around the world who are using Adsense.

@Deriklogov, sorry. I mean manager from Google's certified partner. His team manage the AdSense account and play with placement, AdX, DFP, First Look etc. I'm working with CyberMedia services.

@Mayank Do we really need a manager for this? Did you earnings increased after hiring them?
Can you share some changes or tips they used on your site?

@Capulkit Yep, it did go up slightly. I worked with Adpushup for some months too but their tool wasn't working properly.

They keep on experimenting for best placement. It increased because if DFP, header bidding is used properly, it could bring up the earnings. But nothing magically improved. So I wouldn't recommend getting a manager.

The day is almost over, just an hour left. I never had this bad day in 2017! Whenever I think AdSense won't drop below a certain level, they prove me wrong. Hopefully tomorrow will be back to normal. No sign of recovery yet, thought lets see :(

Jumping on the train here. Today is 50% off week over week. Worse than yesterday. Both CPCs and CTRs are down on millions of impressions.

Find me someone who's earning didn't drop today. That must be a #FakeNews.

Revenue is way down but I think something is wrong with serving. Adsense should have 100% fill right since Ad Balance is switched off. I'm getting loads of blank ads today which is no doubt why revenue is so poor.

One of my site is showing blanks sometimes and its ads % coverage is at a year low and I'm also seeing those download ads. Overall last sunday was terrible, yesterday seems to be getting better, but today is back to very poor performance. It's either a serious lack of advertisers or Adsense is messing things up.

My in-page native ad block is showing a good amount of blanks for today for the one site I run it on (as a test).

Wow, my todays earnings just jumped up by about 30% in 10 minutes which instantly recovered todays rpm to my normal numbers.

@Kasey, thanks for mentioning because I thought it was my premium adnetwork I'm using. So it's Adsense with more problems. I'm glad the premium network still works great.

I can also confirm that Coverage today is at 85% , never been lower than 99%, so my best guess is: They are rolling the new Ad balance , with collapsing ad space when no ads are shown and it's causing these dramatic effects, hope it will be sorted out soon
