How or why is not really relevant, but there are ads that appear in ad-review that do not have the ad-choices logo. This isn't even rare, it occurs regularly. If you would like I can provide examples. At the time I was told that this may occur with ads served by third party networks or that it is bug in ad-review and the ad-choices logo doesn't show in ad review but does appear when shown on the actual page. Of course, I do not have the time to surf my site for hours in the hope of catching such an example. So I don't know if the latter statement is true or not.

My manager had a meeting with Google yesterday and he finally asked about the issue. The Google employee told him that there is a drop in advertisers and as well as they have reduced the CPC bidding since July. They also suggested to move 320x250 link ad unit to below article title position.

My epc is exactly the same as last August so advertisers in my niche are not bidding less. They would be if there were fewer of them. Probably depends on the niche. My epc usually goes up in September as Christmas bidding starts. We'll see what happens this year.

Yes those ads are symptomatic of weak demand for your inventory. But one should be able to choose what ads are displayed ones my website.

Then one should sign up to Doubleclick, sell ad space directly or deal with an agency. Adsense is what it is - and granular control over ad serving is not what it is.

If there's a problem with Adsense it's that its openness and lack of quality control means there are too many junk publishers and too many junk advertisers. It should be somewhat harder to become an Adsense publisher and somewhat harder to buy inventory on Adwords. This would elevate trust both in the content being monetised and the ads being served. Sadly it would also mean less money for Google, so forget about it ever happening.

Had there been any reports of Google will give us more than 68% in near future? If it happens, it would be great :D

The links ad are showing "house for sales", "buy car" ads while my site is about Microsoft-Windows-Tech. Strange.

You're not alone. My website is aquatic related and I'm seeing adverts for Tesco's, Argos, a web hosting company, including Go daddy, and also Foxy bingo. And that's just on a couple of pages I looked at.

It's not April 1st so I'm assuming you're warming up for a comedy festival, MayankParmar.

Not really. It just means there are either insufficient ads about MS Windows to populate your site. Or relevant advertisers don't want them appearing on your site. Or they're being outbid by those ads that do appear on your site. The tech sector is pretty competitive and there's a lot of good tech sites out there that are available to advertisers.

The links ad are showing "house for sales", "buy car" ad...

Out of curiosity I looked at your site. The ads served to me (in Australia) were for Windows utilities, mobile phone plans and Dell laptops. I'd say that's pretty on point for a site like yours. I'm a sample of one though.

Not really. Have you searched for houses, cars, home financing, or car financing recently? Maybe you simply typed the name of your bank into Google? There are any number of factors.

Yesterday was a low paying day. I've reached my max on blocking advertisers. I think the scammers have won for the moment :(

I found that if you have more than one person in the house with computers connected to the same network then the same history may show up on each computer. My mother has been on a couple of holidays with a company called <SNIP> holidays. I've seen their ads on my website quite a few times, however, I've never typed that company into my computer, but my mother has on her own tablet. So my theory is that it could be somebody else on the network that is causing the ads to appear on your website

It seems fine now. No, I never searched for cars or home financing. At that time, on all of my devices (logged out), I was seeing similar ads. It is fine now, may be at that moment, it was broken.

So my theory is that it could be somebody else on the network that is causing the ads to appear on your website

Google is also spying the network :O

blah, I'm full of Indian astrology service ads and of course... dating ads (Nordic, blonde, tall women)!

An utterly appalling day, as Fridays often are. CPC is OK but CTR is in the gutter. Poor ad quality and diversity appear to blame.

No matter what Adsense earnings are capped at a point. This whole month traffic increased 20% but earnings are same. In fact this month cpc was at 0.04$.
Today being holiday in India, traffic is down but CPC is double compared to average this month. So earnings will be on similar line.

I don't know if it's a coincidence,or not. But since I succeeded to achieve 50+%* of active view viewable, what you call low quality ads (especially the ones with green download button) are no where to be find in the ads review center. My clicks rate slightly decreased, but the CPC almost doubled. Also, still in the ads review center, I see ads which look good.
So I don't know if the AVV determines in which group of advertisers to pick up ads.

* I succeeded to achieve 50+% for the AVV at my whole account level ( 2 sites / desktops + mobiles ), I don't know if it has an importance to mention it. In detail, mobile AVV is still lower, ~35-40% of AVV

Quite a good day yesterday. I think today is going to be fairly good as well. CPC isn't brilliant, 11p, however page RPM is £3.65 and page CTR 3.33%

Fewer clicks, good CPC and same RPM = today is worse than yesterday lol.

Hi. Just another friendly reminder, as I just had to remove another post. ;)

Several days ago I posted a polite reminder that specifics were not allowed on WebmasterWorld. This is another reminder.

I generally take a hands off approach to moderation and truly dislike editing any member's post. It bothers me to have to edit anyone's post because I understand what a pain it is to have one's words edited, etc. That's why I rarely edit anyone. So please do yourself a favor and refrain from posting specifics, links to specifics, screenshots to specifics etc. I asked politely and I'm asking politely again.

Also, please take note that discussion of moderation on the public boards is discouraged and that the board encourages such feedback by private message with the mods and admins.

Don't blame me, I'm just the volunteer help around here.

Thanks.

No matter what Adsense earnings are capped at a point.

A common belief, but I for one am living proof it's not true. In fact I just came off my best month ever and I've been in AdSense since it started. No cap here.

Use your imagination, certainly you can think of more reasons why WebmasterWorld has the rule in place.

PLUS if you post specifics about your niche or your site, you might invite competition you don't want. I've seen it happen before.

Low traffic day but today AdSense CTR is up and RPM is good too. CPC is below average. So the earning is good.
