Were do I go in the settings to identify a businesses that has actually paid to advertise on my website? It will be interesting to know just who thinks my website is important enough for them to pay the advertise

Sulvo sent a release earlier saying that they've now removed 70 domains from the blacklist.

How do I remove them from the Adsense blacklist, other than one at a time?

I would have thought that blocking low-paying ads is rather like painting the Forth Bridge. In other words, once you've finished blocking loads of ads, a load more come along and you got to start all over again. Mind you, they are now using a different type of paint so once the Forth Bridge has been painted it won't need to be done again for ages :-)

It's so frustrating. My page RPM is reasonably good, my page CTR is 2.02%, however, CPC is rubbish at only 10p. So along with 49 clicks, you can imagine what my earnings are like so far today.

What the heck is the "Forth Bridge"? [en.wikipedia.org...]

@Ironside The ads that appear on your site are the "best" available (winner of the auction). Blocking an ad will replace it with the next best thing. And the next "best" is by definition always worse than the "best". Now at times what constitute "best" may not be according to your expectation (best = pays most, highest quality) so some ads may pay a bit more and be of lower quality. So the replacement ads may pay less and provide better quality and be more acceptable. But in general the probabilities are against you and what will replace the spam will be equal or worse. So yes it should feel like painting the "Forth Bridge".

Several days ago I posted a polite reminder that specifics were not allowed on WebmasterWorld. This is another reminder.

I generally take a hands off approach to moderation and truly dislike editing any member's post. It bothers me to have to edit anyone's post because I understand what a pain it is to have one's words edited, etc. That's why I rarely edit anyone. So please do yourself a favor and refrain from posting specifics, links to specifics, screenshots to specifics etc. I asked politely and I'm asking politely again.

Also, please take note that discussion of moderation on the public boards is discouraged and that the board encourages such feedback by private message with the mods and admins.

Don't blame me, I'm just the volunteer help around here.

Thanks.

Hey, all. Today looks slightly better than yesterday. This month turned out to be worse than July and April :').

If these AdSense ads load a bit faster, I guess we can make some more money.

Anyone else seeing a drop in the US traffic today? While the CPC is up, the views from the US decreased.

I'm done with this fraud and soon more than 90% of the advertisements won't be from Google Adsense.

This afternoon I noticed the earnings reduced with 25% and within an hour again about 25%. It's not the monthly clawback but the daily clawback is much more.

Someone here told me it was probably because of my website but I didn't do anything with placements for years and this daily clawback is something recently. Within months I'll reduce Adsense to a minimum as needed.

Eclipse side-effect.

Ya - I read that the estimated total loss of U.S. productivity on Monday was to be about $700 million because of the eclipse.

Our U.S. traffic was down almost nine percent today, compared to Monday of last week. (I'm actually surprised the drop in U.S. traffic wasn't greater.)

Is it possible that Adsense is stuck? I am seeing big discrepancy between GA PV's and Adsense.

Yesterday was good and today looks good too. However, CTR is down while CPC 30% better. Looks like my new placement worked; I added another ad unit to the sidebar (320x250).

@Runfun Things change. If you did not do anything for placements for years that is probably one of the culprits. If your ad converts bad/have lots of invalid clicks you will get your clicks shaved (It will not perform good). This have happened to us plenty of times. Even putting "Advertisment" above the ad helped a lot. No invalid clicks = higher earnings.

Not sure if stats are stuck, but seems not. It's pathetic. Few days ago it started to look good, but now I am 50% down again

My eyes nearly popped out of my head when I looked at the performance this morning. Page RPM is £6.24 and CPC is 45p. Now I'm not going to get excited because I know it's not going to stay like this. I've only had four clicks for £1.82. One click has made £1.29. So really, these figures don't tell you anything because the more clicks you get the lower everything drops, well that's the way I read it.

Stats seems slow. I'm not sure. It started with really good numbers and dropped or the stats hasn't increased or it is increasing very slowly.

In June, (all figures are in $ USD) I had a CPC of 0.19 and RPM of 5.58. In July, it dropped to 0.15 CPC, 3.75 RPM in July and this month it is 0.12 CPC, 2.87 RPM. One more thing, page views increased by 30% in July compared to June and in August, the views is already 15% up from July. So the views, impressions are up while the earning is going down. From 3 numbers a day, I'm onto 2 numbers and I have touched $$$ only one day this month.

I'm seeing some new ads with large phone numbers. The ads are for some "Puppy Store". There are many ads, I have come across four or five iterations so far. But each has had minimal impressions. Also saw a text ad without a number. Not sure what to make of that.

Also yesterday ended with an unusually low number of PV, that is the PV's in GA compared to Adsense. Typically I see a difference in the order of 10 to 15% under in Adsense. Yesterday I was 30% under.

Maybe your visitors have adopted Ad-blockers? :D I always have a difference of 2000-3000 in GA and AdSense page views.

Can someone tell me what is counted as a 'click' for link unit ? The link or the Ads that are linked ?

Didn't want to create separate topic for this.

Mark_at_slv

Nick and Mayank, differences between GA and Adsense numbers can be only two things:
1. Adblockers
2. some of your pages are not serving adsense units (such as a specific device category or browser)

(make sure you block the ad blocking promoting advertisers so at least that #1 doesn't grow exponentially overtime)
