I too am seeing steady clawbacks on one account, pennies throughout the day but its adding up now.

This is new.

Hope it's not on TOP of the end-month clawback they do.

The other acct I manage is not showing this at all.

Every day this month, Google has taken a small clawback. Every day there Is about a $.35 clawback. So, my account is in a negative balance now. This has never happened before with this daily frequency. Now, it’s not a lot of money, but it’s just weird that Google is doing this every single day, little by little.

I think now Google doing real-time clawback. Then account going to minus.

what a RPM drop today for USA traffic, I am 40-50% down

In the last two months, whether coincidentally or not with Trump being inaugurated as president, both CPC and RPM have dropped significantly—by around 30% to 40%.

If RPM used to be between $8.00 and $10.00, it’s now between $5.00 and $6.00. If it was between $7.00 and $9.00 it’s now between $4.00 and $5.00, with a very concerning CPC ranging between $0.05 and $0.10.

Just to remind ourselves, last year CPC was between $0.13 and $0.20.

This is a drastic and abnormal drop for which there’s no clear explanation.

you are not alone, since between January 18th to the 26th (when I noticed a big drop on everything Adsense), things just keep getting worse for me. At this point it is a bad as it has ever been in the about 20 years with Adsense.

April start was good but 2nd half went down drastically.
Just checked May 2025 started with negative balance (first time i have seen in 21 years of adsense).

Also, multiple lawsuits have already been filed against AI and LLM models.
Hopefully courts stop this menace.

If content writers are not incentivized, and they stop writing, where will these AI tools fetch data from ?

@dolcevita, the threat of tariffs and now actual tariffs are the reasons for the epc drop and lower rpm. Companies are holding back, not spending and not advertising to people who aren’t spending.
