Just wondering if anyone worries or cares about "active view viewable" for ads?

Tried to improve website speed, it worked but top ad's active view viewable dropped by 20%.

After experiencing lower results at the beginning of April due to holidays and vacations (yet still higher than in 2023), from today the numbers are again comparable to those at the end of March, confirming that the revenue drop was indeed related to the Easter holidays. Total revenue for April compared to the same period in 2023: +30.8%.
Pages views : -19%
RPM : +61%
Time spent per page: +41%

Today is a good day

A few days ago, I took adsense off about half my pages and my impressions, pageviews, and revenue are all about the same as before. The kicker is I'm getting even more impressions, pageviews and revenue with a different adserver on those other pages.

My two cents: I've run Adsense for nearly 20 years, through good and bad, but the last two years have been the pits and the last six months, absurdly bad, down 90% or more from 2 years ago. Exploring other options. The world is constantly changing.

I have now CPC contribution to revenues 25 %
With a very high CTR
quite confusing but positive
But expect that every day can be the last good one with Adsense
If it s not your main source of revenues it s fine ( who is taking the risk to live from the internet if you are not a star, even influencers have a shortblife like flies)

Ad intents is now part of auto ads.

We're excited to announce that the shopping links & shopping anchors Labs are now a permanent part of Auto ads under the new name "Ad intents". This means the Labs will soon close. To continue using this feature, follow these steps:

1.Sign in to your AdSense account.
2.Click Ads.
3.In the table of all your sites, click Edit next to your site. Your site opens in the ad settings preview.
4.Under "Ad settings", make sure Auto ads is turned on.
5.Click Intent-driven formats, and turn on Ad intents.
6.Confirm you agree to the Terms of Service and policies.
7.Click Apply to site.
8.You can track the performance of Ad intents by creating a custom report and adding the "Ad format" breakdown and "Funnel" metrics.

tried infolinks a few years ago, but didn't do to well for me compared to adsense, but then again, adsense was a different animal then, it might be worth trying them now.

How is everyone’s numbers this month, better or worse then March?

Mine are much worse.

I used only intext ads and Infolinks in comparison with Adsense sucks. Ads are totally irrelevant and pay a cent, two or three per click.

5000 views on my sites does not net $100 a day. I was getting over 10k daily last few years and that netted $30 - $60. However, I used to get over $100 per click on certain ads as I'm sure many of us had (I'll be the first publisher to admit that given recent times), and that hasn't happened for at least 2 years.

I doubt my numbers will improve until Google lifts the HCU classifier. No matter how hard I try, the traffic remains the same. If I post new content, Google demotes other old articles. I got hit by HCU and the following updates, and there has been no sign of recovery. It's getting very frustrating.

Did somebody test, if block HTML5 (i have low CPC on it), if has more money from other as text and image? Its same as CTR. Have on HTML5 lower CTR. Also if i block user-oriented ads when i see context targeting have better RPM?

Or all of this is only lower my revenue and better is all enabled? Because i tried and its works about week, and then is worst then ussual, then dont know.

I find that once I start getting into the whole blocking aspect of it, Adsense tends to do poorer (for me).

I block unwanted ads and unwanted advertisers to be sure, but having tried deep testing into blocking whole, poor-performing categories (just last month in fact) or whole ad types just gets me into a worse revenue situation. Typically, the defaults and recommendations by Adsense are the best ones to operate with while you make a few adjustments here and there.

Sometimes the market is just plain bad for your ad properties and SERP changes only worsen everything (which is where I am now).

Never touch a whole category only single crap ads that usually offer downloads.
I m now 10 pc below April 23. the difference is mainly due to the SERP that have targeted some useless pages I have to admit.
Like every business where too many sellers are (publishers) I need to sophisticate the niche where expertise is needed.
Times where every kid could generate cash from a cybercafe are over.
If you are not in the first page for specific keywords that have a high RPM, not worth to continue or hope.

I'm unable to touch three figures with the same or more traffic. Is there something wrong with the AdSense or ad market? April is turning out to be horrible, worse than January or Feb.

My AdSense run is coming to an end after more than 20-years.
Traffic has declined, and click value over the years has also taken a similar route.
Its been a slow decline which has accelerated in the last year, and I can't see anything positively affecting it.
AdSense ad quality has declined, which is likely to affect clicks.

It was good while it lasted.
