Google are criminals.

Since april my RPM dropped significantly, almost 90%.

I was monetising with CPM in february and march and nothing happened to my revenue.

The 3 digits cap is a magic line indeed however in depends on the number of websites.
When having 74 websites we look at the top 30 and how much they make daily and are happy with 10 USD

@Sissi - My best-ranked website has a minimum of 3 digits. There are days when it reaches 4 digits. I have 3 ads per page on all my sites.

I read a lot of people experimenting and changing AdSense settings and just wasting time. What really matters is traffic. A good Google ranking in a niche that brings traffic is the only way to get results. The rest is a waste of time.

Ya, SERPs can kill or prosper your Adsense earnings so traffic is - and always has been - king.

I'm one of those people that has done way too much experimenting with Adsense settings to really find out that it was all for naught. A lot of the Adsense-recommended settings (for me) appear sound and too much monkeying around with them often leads to less revenue.

The only ads I don't let Adsense activate are the rails on the sides

I'm still in the 3 figures daily or rarely in the high double figures. The transition from CPC to RPM was not so destructive.
Offerwall also raised me by 20%-30%. I also notice that my bid RPM vs CPC, compared to others, is still somewhere around 75% vs 25%. This means that another good quarter of the revenue is based on CPC

Big time affected by traffic as well, specially from google, down about 70%.

Not affected by March massacre at all but Adsense is still 5 % lower than same period 23

I have made 3 digits for the last 3 years until March this year. No get £50 - £80 per day. sad times...

yes key driver remains traffic what is new is the criteria of quality of traffic given the extreme range of RPM from cents to 3 digit

No doubt traffic is king, however, the February 14 Reddit-Quora apocalypse killed 26% of my traffic. I went from about 65,000 pageviews a day to 48,000 pageviews a day.

As said you can do 3 digits with 5000 views per day

Probably. But then it's also unbelievable that someone has a CPC between $0.35 - $0.50, and an RPM between $25.00 - $40.00, because that's roughly how much the CPC and RPM should be with only 5000 pageviews

Sorry, I disagree completely: Traffic is absolutely NOT "King".

I do around 100k to 120k pageviews per day on mostly US/CAN/UK traffic and I make just 2 digits per day on AdSense.

Niche is King and always will be.

You can have traffic of 10k visits per day and make much more in the right niche, than I do with 120k visits.

The niche in question is specific and not even AI can cover properly when it does with mistakes.
Can only confirm that with less you can do more!

Not surprising given that some clicks in the past made middle 2 digits

traffic and niche are king, but your niche is set, it's not changing every week. What then determines mostly whether your earnings go up and down, all other things being equal, is traffic.

Oh, and google's own slow bleed as their own profits go up and tax paid goes down, but that's for another thread I suspect.
