A very pleasant surprise this morning. After endless months of 30% clawbacks, it was only a little under 2% for December.

@ember

My s-corporation receives a 1099 from PayPal and you can request a 1099 from Adsense. I’m pretty sure we receive one from Adsense automatically. Although, our bookkeeping would match the 1099 anyway.

@allhearts

As far as reporting your Adsense income, it’s illegal not to do so. Of course, you should report it.

@gatormark

I live in Canada but I claim it, just wondering if everyone does as well.

@gatormark,

I'm referring to the 1099-MISC (or 1099 NEC this year), which is what Adsense would send to a publisher. The 1099-K is from financial institutions, like Paypal, to businesses with bank card revenue, incorporated or not. Yes, an S Corp can request a 1099 from Adsense if it wants one for documentation.

@allhearts,

I doubt anyone would admit on a public forum that they don't report income to the IRS.

Again, not an accountant.

@ember

Lol, true, but I have seen it before.

I for example for the first few years, never made much from adsense so I didn't think I had to, but since I spoke to my accountant and he said I had to, I have been ever since.

1.8% clawback. My lowest ever. Also, this January’s revenue was 59% higher than January of last year. Woot, woot!

6% clawback, I'll take it.

Thank you Google for doing whatever it is you did to bring clawbacks down to human levels. Oh and my therapist says hello.

I had less than 1% clawback this time. It's a record for me.

Less than one percent clawback. I'm glad they fixed it.

@MayankParmar The strange thing is that it went on for months until December, when the clawback went way down, and I never changed a thing!

February isn't starting off very well, everything is about ok, but CPC is very low.

@allhearts

February is starting off CONSIDERABLY better for me. At the end of the day I’ll be up about 100% over last February with the same traffic. This is very weird, but 2020 was horrendous for me. I love 2021 so far and I didn’t do anything different.

@gatormark

That's great news, at least some of us are doing better, January started off slow for me and then picked up, so I'm just hoping that's the case again this month. :)

@gatormark,

Same here.
January 146% higher over last year with 24% fewer page views, but page RPM is 224% higher than last year, with double the clicks. Clawbacks for January less than 0.1%.
February started very strong, yesterday was 570% higher than last year, but last year February 1st was Saturday. The weekend is not my high earning time.

Have a very earning full month everyone!

Yeah, February is off to a great start. 2021 is doing awesome relative to 2020 - even pre-pandemic.

Are you all in North America? Awful here in Europe since the GDPR v2.0 standards were enforced in mid January.

Just curious on what everyone’s RPM is so far this year on average?

I can tell you that my European visitors are wasting my bandwidth! I have a lot of them, but the payment is very low.

I have the GDPR framework implemented on the site.

@Mentat

Sorry to hear that, the third largest traffic provider for me is the UK and I do well.

UK yes, is good.
I’m talking about the rest of the Europe.
