You have to laugh. Eight clicks today for 9 pence. Six of those clicks were worth nothing and only two clicks actually paid any money. This type of thing happens every day - many clicks pay nothing and when a click does actually get paid it is for a paltry amount. My total Adsense earnings for the ENTIRE month of January 2019 were only slightly more than ONE average DAY'S earnings in December 2012. I actually stopped doing any more work on my web site a few months ago and will now start removing Adsense (again). It's completely dead and a monumental waste of time. I'm going to try my luck with YouTube, but it takes a while to get subscribers and watch time.

It's impossible to block them with the Adsense review center but maybe I could try with Admanager.

How is that? Simply block the domain Google.com or whatever the specific domain is for Adwords.

@Runfun

The ad URL appears to be ads.google.com which you can block in the 'All sites' page.

Today has been my best AdSense day in recent memory, by a considerable amount. Not sure what's going on, but I expect it will all be clawed back at the end of the month.

Looks like a second day for me with above normal AdSense earnings. Yesterday's earnings were up 183% over last week. A normal person would be excited about this, but I can't help think that something is wrong. Good things like this don't usually happen anymore.

CTR seems normal, but for the second day, page RTM is much higher than usual. I'll take it of course, but I'll still worry until I see the money officially added at the end of the month.

Thanks:-)

To be honest I'm knackered right now, I have an horrendous tooth abcess, I have never slept so much!

I have been checking in and reading what's going on. AdSense and overall traffic has been very lacklustre recently YET RealWorld enquiries and orders are going through the roof but most of this has nothing to do with Europe or North America. For me those markets are normal/flat, Africa, Asia and Middle East is where all the action is right now ... I'm in specialised construction products ... I tend not to target South America unless requested to do so since they have many excellent producer companies in my widget industry.

What is very noticeable though, at my high-end level, is no one is using AdWords, traditional international trade fairs are extremely busy, architects, specifiers, volume purchasers etc like to look one in the eye, it's not just about yet another cheap price!

It's strange that my revenue with real time bidding was about 30% of all the revenue today with just 10% of all impressions. Adsense had 50% of the revenue but about 70% of all impressions. The difference in CPM is huge and keeps improving in favour of header bidding. I believe the next big thing is header bidding and Google/Alphabet should do more with it.

Well, Valentines Day is tomorrow, But the CPM is going a little bit more down each day.
I don't see the usual fuss in my local media.

The only clue is that the supermarket is full of heart-shaped chocolate boxes, with bad chocolate.

Google sent out a new email encouraging users to try auto ads on mobile.

Three amazing AdSense days in a row for me. Earnings are now up 60% over the same time last year. Hopefully it's not just Valentine's Day related.

Because the revenue from Adsense dropped I've improved several things like loading time, more visibility for ads and I've blocked few networks who pay awful. I found one who paid a CPM of €0.03 with 50,000 impressions o_O I'll keep blocking more networks who are paying such amounts of money because others pay a minimum of 10 times more.

Well, for me St. Valentine was not an winner. For some reason my eCPM is going down with a few cents each day.
Traffic is stable.

I see almost no fuss in the media about this event, only some not so good jokes on the radio.

Traffic is fine when AdSense is dead and it will drop when AdSense bids are high next month.

Looks like my amazing three day run with AdSense has come to an end. Must have been Valentine's Day related. Back to the working class.

Google desperately wants to choose ad placement and ad size.

"Approval needed: Let Google choose the best ad sizes for you" is the latest email.

Google desperately wants to choose ad placement and ad size.

I received the email about switching to Auto Ads for mobile. But I've tried those anchor and vignette ads in the past and they did nothing. Not that anything I try with mobile has much of an effect. I'm just glad that the majority of my traffic still comes from desktop users.

When you are prompted to allow "auto ads" and the auto ads make your site look atrocious...
When inventory seems depleted.
When no metrics are offered about the users who are blocking Adsense (which may explain a lot these past years).
When there is no support except the general anecdotes we can share.
When it is not clear if the quantity of ads has a negative effect on your search ranking.
When you have spent countless irretrievable hours experimenting with little to show for it.
When the items are too long to list...
Perhaps it is time to move on and either opt out of adsense or minimize its use through other affiliates or strategies.
Something is rotten in Menlo Park!
And I am an optimist!

AdSense has become a non-starter for me, I'll continue to run it for the beers it gives me every month otherwise it's a waste of tme.

For instance so far today's earnings are 50 cents
This month my earnings are -56% v last year

However, realworld traffic up 50%
Plus realworld enquiries and confirmed orders are going through the roof

As mentioned in an earlier post, all new customers' orders are not USA/Europe.

Over the past few years I have watched the steady disconnect of Google and real business, I am not saying drop ship etc is not a real business, however with so many businesses mostly selling the same things, it's no wonder so many are struggling.

And yes, I do appreciate how difficult it is to find unique products, however without such products it leaves very little to advertise on sites.

What beer money? 50 cents doesn't even buy a quarter of of a bottle of beer!

Increase by 20% my CPC monday, decrease by 20% my pageviews yesterday.

Ok, maybe the traffic is more qualified in this way, but still, it's strange, don't you think ?
