@Maximum44, they call it Minify. It's under the Speed tab and reduces the file size. It also, in my case, hurt CTR. At least that is what I attribute my CTR drop to during the 10 days I had it enabled.

All that minify does is remove tabs, spaces, comments and other useless characters out of you files, (html, css, js, etc...). There is no way that this has any impact on CTR. Well maybe one way, potentially it could speed up your page loading such that the user sees the content before the ad has time to load and then the users scrolls past the ad. But this is really unlikely.

Just to add to to what ember is saying - recently I hired a guy to improve my website speed ( Mobile 60, Desktop 80 - according to Google Page Insights ), he did a great job and I get 90/90. Unfortunately, my CTR dropped by 50% so after 3 days I returned to my slower website. Don't know if the Minify is the only reason, don't want to make more experiment as it hurts my earnings really bad.

Hmmm...I don't know. I've always had a solid CTR. The very day I enabled minify the CTR dropped. The very day I disabled it, the CTR went back to normal. I assumed the page had gotten too fast for the ad code, and people were moving on before they saw the ads. It could be something else - nothing is ever really straightforward with Adsense - but I have no plans to minify again anytime soon.

When you have fast loading pages there are times the page is loaded and the ads are not. This also depends on the ads. Some load fast others are slow.

So much problems in my life right now. Then to look at my pitiful earning is icing on the cake. What a beautiful time to be alive. Keep smiling while the tears are falling. Sigh.

I "like" the Adsense top info:

- 12% versus the same day, last week.
- 8% versus previous 7 days
- 21% versus same period last year

Add this to the -30% of traffic since yesterday!

Today is bad as well.

I am seeing some rebound of RPM. +10% roughly compared to beginning of month.

Not sure what to make of this month so far. Thursday was good, than a couple of bad days, then half decent day, today looks as though it could be either.

I've just had an invitation from a company called Red Mas. Basically, it's a little bit like AdSense. I'm just wondering if anyone else has been using them and if they've had any success?

Today is horrible.

First, two days of the month were horrible. Now it's back to "normal" which a few years ago would have been horrible.

Was waiting for the month to recover from the "start of the new quarter" as a few people already mentioned. in 2016 and 2015 the first 2-4 days were bad but had recovered by the 5th... today is the 6th and my RPM is at less than 50% what it should be thanks to an abnormally low CTR.

I should also mention that the initial boost that came from auto ads has gone completely and i making next to nothing with them.

This period of Oct so far, is the WORST period of the entire 2017 period for me. I blame the doomy atmosphere. Hurricanes, shootings, and a potential WW3. All these affect people and advertisers, even though they are not mentioned here. So buckle up and start praying, it could get worse........

Today is so much better than yesterday, already crossed yesterday's figure with good CPC, CTR and RPM. Hope it continues...

October 1st and 2nd were not good but looks like everything goes back to normal now including my search traffic.

Yesterday (friday) was bad for us. Seems we are riddled with a ton of unrelated ads with low cpc.

Looks like today is going to be quite good. CPC is 20p, that's nearly double what it has been lately. My rpm is £5.49 and CTR is 2.69%. Yesterday was also a pretty good day.

Today is highest earning and page views day for me. Though, I'm stuck with the host as the site is down/very very slow since 3-4 hours with 300+ real time views despite having 9VCPU, 27GB RAM.

What have you concluded, is it "bad" or is it "awful"?

I think the only conclusion one can draw from the input in this thread is that there is lot variability. Good one day for one person the bad the next, while the other sees bad and then good, and no correlation. Strange... I've seen a range of $4 in page RPM (daily) over the past month with a flat trend line.

Just wanna say that it's no necessary to say everyday "bad day", "good day". I'm using adsense since 2003 and my conclusions are "don't worry about your earnings, let google do it for you" .

I’m 10% money down each day compared to each day end of last month.

Visitors same, clicks, etc same. Google just paying less.

The first week of October is gone and the payment really sux.
