@Redbar are you getting plenty of clicks but hardly any money per click, or hardly any clicks?

AdSense has totally collapsed for me today, at the moment 0 clicks, I jest not!

A few more days of this garbage and I'll have to make a decision.

Well so far today I've had 25 clicks for about £3.49. I would rather be in the position where a website wasn't getting any clicks, rather than lots of clicks and just p in earnings. I think it's probably easier to work out why you're not getting any clicks as to why your ads are earning a pittance.

Have you gone on to Google analytics and looked in real time > overview to see how many people actually live on your website?

Are your daily visitors in the double digits, triple or quadruple digits? I started a website for somebody who manufactures custom motorcycle parts. The website receives a letter between 30 and 50 hits a day. I've got one link unit on each page, and one 336 x 280 unit at the bottom. Surprisingly it made £25 in February just for these two units on each page.

So basically what I'm trying to say is why don't you change your AdSense radically. It seems as if you've nothing to lose at the moment. Take some of the main units out and just put in a couple of link units, I think you'll be surprised how well they do.

@Redbar, since the few months I am here, I noticed that you seem to complain much more than others, about ads not showing, no clicks, broken stats, etc, etc... so I was wondering if by any chance your issues might be related to the implementation of the Adsense code on your site(s)? For example, isn't it possible that elements on your pages (like javascript libraries, particular css, etc,...) might be causing conflict/interference/incompatibility (from a programming point of view), with the Adsense code? Just a thought.

Has anyone been approached by Kontextua in regard to putting AdSense type ads on a website? I had an email last week telling me that I could add an extra two ads per page to the already three that Google allow. However, I thought Google had changed the rules now and you could put more than three on the page. Anyway, it was pretty straightforward, they approved me and now I've got a couple of ads on the website. It's a bit weird how it works. They actually sent me the code via an email. Also, there are only about three or four unit sizes available. I think I've got code for 336 x 280, 728 x 90, and a 160 x 600. Not sure if earnings are going to be on par with Google, will just have to wait and see.

Just wanted to see if anyone else has had any emails that are similar. I don't think it's anything dodgy, I've got my sign in details to the dashboard which should show estimated earnings. It's very much like AdSense, but extremely basic.

Someone (sorry, I don't remember who said it) said "I would expect an ad platform to have a higher Alexa ranking than me" . Kontextua has not a very good ranking, and extremely big crash since mid January... Also traffic being mostly from Spanish/Portuguese countries.

nb: The importance in the Latin countries, is because it's Argentina company.

March is off to a very slow start here too.

March is looking good for me - usually - money starts going up at the end of the month as advertisers budgets are spent - then a drop at the start of the next month.

But so far - it's looking good. 6% more this month then same day previous month.

March stats very well, like I mentioned several times, since last Saturday, all lights are greens. I am at 20% than last year (but we are only the 4th). I wonder if it will stick like that or collapse later. Adsense is "abnormally" strong and regular since a week. Very unusual.

I am seeing a significant increase in RPM here. First week of March is off to a good start.

March got off to a terrible start here. However, it slowly improving with each day earning slightly more. Yesterday was actually a double-digit day which was good. Media.net is also looking quite promising.

I'm hoping someone can advise. I do have quite a lot of YouTube videos that I've never really thought about setting up with AdSense. However, I'm going through them now and making sure that ads show. However, I've got to a couple of my videos which I filmed of my own camera. Problem is, there is a message telling me that the video is not currently eligible for monetisation because it matched third-party content. And I quite understand what this means. I'm hoping someone can help me out because it's a bit annoying being able to put ads on my own video.

Yes, if there are identifiable audio tracks, this is considered as third-party content. Same if you film your tv with a film on.

I think a moderator will come and tell this is off-topic (but sites have to be picky about this kind of details, that's because people are abusing, or trying to abuse what was tolerated, forcing sites to be more and more strict, that's always the same thing)

I don't think it's pedantry; your example shows it's the detection system that's overzealous. It's probably so "good" (or rather not good enough) at finding copyright violations that it can't make the distinction between background and foreground audio; but that's difficult terrain since you're also dealing with intent. You're basically collateral damage and clearly the response was more reasonable once you got a human being involved.

My link units showing up in wine-red today. Anyone knows what happened? My auto experiments are disabled.

@Silentneedle yeah, mine did the same on a couple of websites yesterday. Not sure why it was doing it, however they are okay today though.

I think Google is doing some experiments. I usually have fairly stable RPMs across the different platforms. However, over the past week I've seen wild day-to-day platform-specific fluctuations with CTR and CPC (for example, one day desktop RPM was down 80% while it was stable for mobile and tablet, the next day desktop recovered while mobile stats tumbled).

For the past two days my mobile CPC is down 60% while desktop and tablet stats are steady. Is it possible to be smartpriced for one specific platform while the others remain steady? More likely than not, it is probably statistical noise and not of significance. I'll update you guys in a week.

I'm hoping someone can help me. I have two YouTube accounts, one of which is obviously associated with my AdSense account because I am able to monetise my videos. However, I am trying to link the other YouTube accounts to my AdSense account. I thought I'd done it yesterday, however this morning it was rejected. I then realised I've used the wrong AdSense ID number. So I'm trying to change that but I'm not having a lot of luck. Could somebody tell me if having two YouTube accounts link to one Google AdSense is okay?

It might be a case where I will just start using my activated YouTube account all the time and forget about the other one.

@Ironside, yup you can have more than one YouTube accounted linked to one Google Adsense account.

Since two days, I notice a significant increase of the "active view viewable", by 10% for ALL ad slots, and all countries, and all kind of ads (text, image, rich media). Nothing change on my site, server, network or visitor's profiles. So I wonder if Adsense is finally starting to look seriously at the loading speed of their ads.

By the way, my earnings continue to be solid since 10 days, very regular.

I've noticed that too. My AVV was already high (a tick under 70%) but in the last two days it's jumped by about 2%. I haven't done any digging as to a reason.

Earnings are up at 2015 levels today. Let's hope it lasts.

I just moved to https and my traffic increased by 20%. The CPC continues to decrease for me.

@yogeshkhetani, I doubt that if you "just" moved your site to HTTPS , it can already have a an impact on your traffic. These 20% increase might be a coincidence. Are you using the Ad balance feature?

For the past 3 days my desktop RPM was normal, today it dropped by 80% again. That's the second time this month, something squirrely is going on. All other stats such as bounce rate, pageviews per session, time on site, etc remained the same. Hopefully it'll fix itself like last time.

My Adsense on Mar 7 changed dramatically - CPC increased by something like 78%.

Unfortunately with so many variables it's really hard to understand what works and what not. If Adsense is making changes or are your visitors behavior changes dramatically, or advertisers , or national holidays, or Ad balance....the whole Adsense thing is like floating in a boat in an open sea...so far March is steady, like February.

Not sure what's happened in the last couple of days but everything has gone to pot. Today's earnings are absolutely pathetic so far. How's everyone else doing?
