News for you G, ads are now being removed from any site that does not earn USD 1.50 per month...yes folks, $1.50 a month, that's how pathetic this charabanc has become.

Since the end of January I saw a slow decrease each day in my eCPM... I do not know what is happening, but is like something is broken.

Something is definitely broken. Yesterday was lousy as usual last I checked in the evening. I login today and what little was there was taken and I was left with pennies. Today so far is just pennies as well. What are they doing over at the Complex? Walking around in circles tweeting and trying to locate the restroom with their Google Glass? Utterly ridiculous.

Today has been very frustrating. Earnings have been going up and down all morning and afternoon. The majority of my earnings come later on in the evening because my visitors are mainly from the US. My website is about fashion and today I am seeing ads for people with urinary and serious medical issues. It's an ad for catheter's - good job Google! That's really relevant and what people want to see when they are shopping for luxury clothes - ads for catheter's. Unbelievable.

RPM just dropped to over half of what it was just ten minutes ago and Google took away 1/3 of my earnings so far today.

Can you confirm where your traffic is coming from in the morning? Are you seeing more non-US traffic during times when this is happening?

Block the domain! Other than that, can't tell anymore what's contextual and what's interest based and who's interest the ad is based on. One of the two systems is surely messed up. Also, I've found that third-party network ads tend to contribute to this whole invalid click problem. Seems to be less of a problem with third-party networks turned off. That may also be true for inappropriate ads showing up but doesn't make sense because if TPN's are turned on, you'd think there would be more ads to choose from and better targeting as a result. I seem to have less of a targeting problem with less ads on the page as well but targeting is still an absurd issue sometimes.

I did block the domain; along with about 50 other new domains this month. Typical month I block around 10 new domains. However, I usually notice that when I block non-related domains even worse domains start to show. I'm beginning to think google really is trying to push away publishers and that Adsense will cease to exist at some point. My prediction is that Adsense doesn't exist come January 2014. It will either close completely or have some fancy new name as part of a rebrand desperation move. Google failed to really get publishers to use DFP.

Strange that, I mentioned to someone the other day that I reckon they're trying to get rid off the lower earners now and possibly introduce a $500 month or 10-20k PVs daily minimum, possibly even higher.

I can do neither now ever since G images took 80+% of my traffic. When will the light go on at The AdSense Plex what happened to so many gallery earnings?

Not every widget sector has millions of PVs every day/month then again, as netmeg would say, it's all a matter of scale to them!

So will there be loads of fish with no pond to swim in? Several programmes insist on a monthly PV requirement yet how could I qualify when G takes all the traffic for itself?

I'm not really sure to be honest with you. Like I said, about 75% Of my traffic comes from the US. When I think about it, I often make up the bulk of my earnings from around 9 PM GMT.

I've often wondered if the weather is having an effect on how many people are using the computer. After all, lots of America has experienced dreadful weather lately. Analytics appear to show that traffic isn't really dropping dramatically. I suppose I am bringing in an average of around 3000 hits a day, sometimes approaching the 4000, sometimes just less than 3000, but probably just over 3000 normally.

I do not understand this, why, seemingly, has the USA stopped clicking?

History shows the US v UK about 5/6 times higher, that would seem about right considering the population difference however recently the UK has been out-clicking the USA on a daily basis.

I target the US and I'm wondering again, if this has to do with "local" factors. Is there a way your site would be considered local to a UK audience as opposed to a US audience? I'm getting a lot of local advertising (which is what I'm targeting) so it's appropriate to my users. This could be a disconnect between what G thinks local is in the context of your site or you're site's visitors. Just pulling this out of thin air but locality is becoming increasingly important to Google so the disconnect could have something to do with that. Just another factor to consider in the grand scheme of things. ;)

I am located in the UK, however, my website is a.com sites. I think this is probably the reason why it does so well in the US. My website is also a niche. It just so happens that the particular subject of my site gets a lot of organic search queries. Now the US is so much bigger than the UK, it just makes sense that there are going to be many, many more people in the US who are participating in my particular niche. Search queries are about the same whether I'm using Google.com, or Google.co.uk, but US visitors far exceeds UK visitors.

I think that maybe we are reading a little bit too much into it. I think it's just a case that some people will click on add units, other people won't. One day you may get 20 people who avidly. Click, and other day the people that visit are not the people who do click on them, it's as simple as that.

Something happened today. I feel happy. I am smiling. My revenues from Adsense today are putting a smile on my face. First time this month I've felt happy, so I'll take it!

A $40 click? But was it taken away, did you check? I've had numerous huge Like that quite a few times, but I've never managed to hold on to them, the money has been taken back within a few minutes.I think the most money I've ever made from one single click is about £4 ($6).

Today is unbelievably slow again, in fact, earnings are well down on what they normally are. 27 clicks, but not much money. Hopefully it will recover by the morning and give me something to be happy about. Oh well, at the end of the day I look at Google AdSense as just being a bonus, I certainly don't plan my future on my AdSense earnings. If it stops in six months, well it's been good for the last two or three years.

I suppose the good thing is because my website generates a lot of organic traffic that is relevant to my niche, there is probably another moneymaking scheme out there that I could fall back on.

You may be lucky and get to keep the $40. In my case, money is normally taken away pretty swiftly if I get massive clicks. Up until the last couple of months, my monthly earnings were pretty much what I received, hardly anything was deducted from final earnings, maybe 2 or £3.. However, the last couple of months have been so good, they probably taken £15 off my final earnings. Anyway, yesterday wasn't brilliant, not absolutely terrible. Let's see what today brings.

Interesting that my stats have gone up a bit and the "takeaways" have slowed somewhat. Last week if I had any "up" I could almost guarantee that there would be a corresponding "down". Suddenly it seems to have reverted to more-or-less normal.

G is messing with text ads -- the enhanced ads seem to be gone... and my CTR is WAY low, way off today.

OK, maybe I just haven't been paying that close of attention but today I'm seeing underlining of Titles in text ads. Here's the catch, it's a hover effect. So hovering over a title (for the moment) now causes the title to show an underline. If this is indeed new, it's G recognizing that they've hamstrung their ads and they are trying to address the clickability issue. Certainly not perfect but at least a step in the right direction. BTW, I'm noticing this on responsive ads set to smart size. This could be an awesome development if it sticks.

Google earnings are going up and down recently. Checking the Stats is useless at this point. I've noticed that especially the non-Us clicks are being removed all the time. My rpm for the US is only slightly lower than normal. The rpm for the rest of the world is much lower than normal and dancing like a butterfly! Overall I have seen a decreasing rpm over the last 2 weeks and the stats bouncing around like a rubber ball. I think, guess, estimate that the regional ad targeting is far from optimal at the moment. This could be a technical issue or a commercial issue. We will never know!
