I was under the impression that the term "stuck" was typically used on this forum when the numbers in your Adsense report remain static and unchanged for an unusually long period of time.

webcentric. The point to post when someone sees the adsense stats stuck is to try to know for how long they hadn't move.
This time was just two hours, sometimes it was for a longer time.

Didn't mean to ruffle feathers but I've been watching the Adsense stuck threads on this board for quite a bit longer than a couple of months and it was those threads that initially brought me to sign up on this board.

Regardless, most of the time, what's stuck is clicks and/or revenue while page views keep climbing. This means delayed click reporting. I find it interesting that people say "stats are stuck" when they mean one or two particular stats are stuck. It's always bothered me because it doesn't accurately address the issue which is delayed click/revenue reporting. I've also made the point on this board that you can see Adsense stats in both the Analytics and Adsense interfaces and that there is almost always a significant difference in their reporting times (namely, Analytics is almost always way ahead of Adsense itself and, for the most part, far more accurate where valid clicks and revenue is concerned).

So, "stats seem stuck" is a vague concept at best and there are a myriad reasons for it in general. When someone says stuck, I want to know what they're looking at specifically because if the entire Adsense interface is stuck (including page views) that's one thing (and I've seen this happen specifically during the period when G is finalizing earnings each month or performing updates). If no clicks are coming in, that's another matter entirely. And, if no clicks are being recorded in Adsense, is the same happening in Analytics? If all someone is interested in is knowing whether I'm seeing new clicks come in, my answer could mean I have no traffic, nothing is converting or Google hasn't updated my "stats" in a while. I guess I like a little more meat in my conversation than the average person but there's probably still no excuse for being a bit snappy at the question posed so I'll retract my snappiness and simply ask for a bit more clarity in the future. I'm fairly certain I won't be the last "new" member to join this board so for the sake of others, I think it's a valid petition.

webcentric, thanks for your explanation. In this case today, from my side, everything was stuck Page views and clicks.
Everything was going good all day, and after those two hours, things got really slower comparing to the pace it was before.
No click dump at all. :(
I use statcounter to compare traffic and pageviews, allthough I know there is a difference in pageviews, the difference is pretty consistence and the almost the same everyday.

Google has been doing a lot of updating in Analytics and in Adsense for some time now. Looks like an ongoing effort to fully integrate the two systems. Updates have definitely been delaying reporting at times but I haven't seen a complete shutdown in Adsense stats in awhile. Don't watch them all day to be honest but almost always see the page views increasing when I come back from time to time. I'm beginning to see the Analytics stats as more indicative of what's happening in real time but then again, the only Adsense stat I completely trust is the stat on my bank statement each month.

Been having unusually high above average earnings this past week. I'll take it while it lasts.

An update here. A couple days ago I was looking at a big big bump in traffic. I'm glad to say that it has resulted in Adsense pay dirt. My fears of getting the traffic but not the clicks/revenue have subsided. It's legit traffic from search. I know how temporary this is, but for now I'm going to fantasize about what this business for me could be. Having something like this last for months would be one of the best feelings. I will take consistent over a period of months rather than some days of ecstasy.

Later and later come the totals. My click count and earnings the past few days haven't budged until around 4:00pm (SF Bay Area). Anybody else?

You see "click dump"? mine updates continuously throughout the day. It updates about 4~5 times an hour. I usually refresh and go oh great it went up another dollar. Rarely that it updates once per hour, I would say maybe three to four hours in a day where it updates once per hour.

How big of a click dump that you see at one time? hundreds of clicks? or 10's?

I do see plenty of price adjustments where clicks are taken away completely and/or clicks prices are adjusted maybe 1~2 updates after they are earned. Which I think is great, it's better they adjust it early on rather than hit me with a big negative adjustment at the beginning of month. This is from adsense menu.

Also, I'd recommend checking to see if your Adsense stats are just as "stuck" in Analytics.

Are you in the SF Bay Area? I ask because from what I've observed it seems like AdSense, like Google in general, has different servers and reporting times for different areas.

Guess I should watch what I say. Clicks and Earnings stopped dead right after my last post. About 3 hours ago. Traffic keeps coming and the issue is the same in Adsense and Analytics. Was buzzing earlier.

Yesterday's click count and earnings didn't start coming in until after 6:00pm, the last 1/4 of the day. Somehow, even with the lowest page views in months, it beat the last two days by nearly double. Crazy.

Still enjoying high average earnings for a week now. Yeah!

I notice higher CPC and RPM on a lower PV.

Same here, Frank. PV is not that high but earnings are high. Perhaps got to do with the niche.

CTR and traffic are about average. CPC is the lowest I've seen it in nearly a year. Hmmmm. Ads also seem quite irrelevant today. After a pretty decent week, I'm just baffled.

An update on another post I made.

Often find it interesting to compare adsense with my cpm companies. Results overall very similar to normal months. However, the last 4 days, cpm has gone through the roof - quadrupled my adsense income. No rhyme or reason of course. The adsense conundrum has now spread to cpm!

Yesterday was highest traffic day of the month with second lowest earnings. 160x600 has tanked with new look ad units. 300x336 and 300x250 are slightly higher.

Unfortunately my most productive ad unit was the 160.

Was so pissed sent AdSense a suggestion on how to fix. Reply was:

a team of engineers that designs and tests new ad formats and optimizes them for the best advertiser and publisher performance while maintaining a high-quality user experience

Maybe the team will test your idea and find out for sure

Going to get a team of engineers (me) to make some adjustments to templates and see if that helps :)

@breeks Finally someone is seeing what I'm seeing. CTR is tanking and I had exactly the same problem with the unit you mentioned. I think there are three major issues right now.

1. The new circle button doesn't look clickable (looks like a simple icon)
2. All underlining has been removed from the ad format.
3. Font size of title is so large, it looks like a heading and not a link.

Put these three features together and it's a wonder anyone could figure out that anything is clickable. Text ads used to look like linked text but apparently, those days are gone. I'm wracking my brain to "re-engineer" as well. What a mess!

The only message G is gonna hear it seems is when publishers stop using text ads altogether and G notices the revenue decrease. I'm about ready to turn off all text ads just to see if I can't get that revolution started.

CTR is tanking

I've seen some incredibly low CTR this last week. One day is almost (recent) normal and the next day is half or less.

I switched to a slightly brighter blue on title text of the 160x600 and it helps a little but it still blows :)

8:30pm - so far, today is the lowest earnings day in months. :-(

Surprisingly getting high ctr in all my sites which translates to very good above average earnings. Usually, I get this good earning in the beginning of November. This is quite early. I'm amazed!

I normally stay out of these monthly threads but boy my earnings are down since the 18th which is when I started seeing the new look text ads. Boo, if this keeps up I'll have to turn off enhanced ads and see if it bounces back. I like the look of the new ads but if they don't perform, bye-bye.

Yesterday never recovered. Another WTF day for the books. Hope today is better, hard to imagine it being any worse!
