Indeed. In the last 12 hours, my earnings have moved 82 cents. Either the hamsters are sleeping on the job or have jumped ship because nobody's been turning my stats wheel. Sigh... on to Saturday then.

What gets me is the huge daily swings. Based on a fair few sites and thousands of impressions, I am seeing 'x' on days 'x times 2' the next and then 'x/3' the day after. Taking into account all the seasonality, day of the week, time of the month etc factors which cn explain some differences it does seem that other 'unknown' factors must be at play.

Interestingly, and this seems relevant when some are saying they are having record days and havings horrible days, I manage 2 companies so have 2 adsense accounts. Often when one batch of sites does better than average, the other batch does worse. One batch is mainly blogs/news sites and the other more standard topic based sites.

Looks like my bonus party's over until the next time. Friday was my lowest earning's day since 12th August being some 15% lower than the past 2 weeks.

So far today it is looking very quiet however I did expect that with it being a holiday weekend in the UK, we'll see if it picks up a bit later on.

Horrible Saturday so far with 10.25 hours to go. Very low CPC too.

Earnings are at about 50% of yesterday with about five hours left to go. Hopefully the other 50% is on it's way!

Dead Saturday for me, worst in a while. I wonder whats up with that? I hope it doesnt have to do with the Yahoo to Bing transfer.

Friday and Saturday... worst days in months...

i've got 3 days in a row, of CTR up by 40%. Back to May levels, ctr of 4.5% average(since may has been average 3.25%).

Hoping its nots a click dump, and hoping its going to last.

I have noticed, the new ads not always showing on my sites, they click in and out... so not sure if its just I'm finally getting the new ad layouts all the time, of if its an algo change and i'm getting better target traffic.

Today is starting off really good! This is the highest earnings I've seen at this time of day (9:25am SF Bay Area). If it keeps up at this pace it'll be one of my best days ever! :-)

Sunday appears to be another dead adsense day. Low ctr and low paying click. Let's see if tonight it picks up. Sunday nights have usually been pretty good in the past.

August will be highest earnings month of the year with lowest visitor numbers - go figure.

Well, didn't have too good of a weekend. Everything went to hell on Friday and Sunday was even worse. Same traffic.

I had a good run this August though. Highest earnings month ever.

Yesterday closed at about double the daily average!

Strange stats today, click count and earnings way out of sync.

August has been better than most other months this year. Still slow today though and a few other days in August were really low.

Today's stats seem to be stuck. No matter, I won't be worried unless they don't update by tomorrow.

I'm sure glad to see a positive AdSense earnings thread. There are more negative than positive threads. My earnings this month are on track to set an all-time record, beating out last month by a little bit.

The stats have not moved in a couple of hours today.

Things are moving now, might wind up with a good day after all! :-)

Stopped again. Perhaps the hamsters are at some other world wide convention of Adsense hamsters.

Happy to say I'm back on the horse! I guess Canadians where not in a clicking mood last weekend. :) I've been getting a lot of traffic from Canada in the last 3 months. On my way to break another record. Made more by 3 pm today than on the last three days combined.

Back on track here too! Almost eight hours left to go, so looking like it might be a very good AdSense day after all!

Just FYI, we're coming up on a long holiday weekend in the U.S.

It's Labor Day where many Americans celebrate productivity by being slothful for a few days.

Finally a €100+ day again!

Same pattern of very slow and non-moving stats. The hamsters are probably asleep on the job again or dead. Perhaps somebody might tell them that Bear Grylls is around and he's hungry. That might get them moving. :)

Ended up much better than last August; about on par with the two previous. Am excited to see what happens next couple months as I made some interesting changes based on some of my previous experiments and tests.

Today is already looking very good! Amazing to wake up (it's 7:37am) and see these kind of numbers, yay!

Still going strong here I'm happy to report! Of course, I saw something like this in Sept 2008. After a spectacular month everything just went back - until now. That made me wonder if there was some long term adjustments being made, but every two years? Seems to be a stretch. Guess I'll know soon enough - Sept. starts tomorrow.
