My initial understanding based on the press releases was that Yahoo would serve ads on both Yahoo and Microsoft owned results pages. However, looking back I can't remember any mention of what would happen to their respective content networks.
Regardless, don't you think that with the amount of money involved there would be a little more clarity about what's to come. Microsoft wants me to go through a major overhaul of my account including a surge in ad spend. Why would I invest my time on that if the system is going to fold in the coming months?

Exactly - both of my accounts could use work, but I don't want to spend time on either right now because of all of the uncertainty. It could just end up being a huge waste of time.
