Over the weekend yahoo charged my credit card additional amounts not related to ad clicks, first £1100, then £3500 finally £12,000 so my credit card statement shows £16,100 charges to yahoo. (I usually only spend £10 per day). The cc company will not intervene (why?) and have left it to yahoo to sort out. Yahoo have not explained how this happened, and have said it may take up to 10 days to get a refund.

The fact that this happened over a wekend makes me very suspicious that something bad has been attempted. If they have taken my money by mistake, why can't they give it back today. Does anyone have any idea what is going on?
