How insert keyword dynamically into Yahoo destination URL?

I'm trying to figure out how to dynamically insert the keyword someone searched on into my Yahoo Search destination urls so that I can track their performance using Google Analytics.

It is easy to do for my MSN paid search ads - I just add a parameter like this:

foo.com?utm_term={keyword}

But I have read that Yahoo Search does not accept the {keyword} command in destination urls - is that correct?

Can someone from Yahoo - YahooSarah perhaps - clarify this.

It is easier to do in Yahoo as they have a tracking you can turn on that appends certain variables, including keyword, to your URL. Which means you can just yank the variable with the Get string.

Under the Administration Tab there is a link at the top for "Tracking URLS"

You can turn them on or off there. Then look through Help and you can get the specific variables you can pull.

nice to know .. I had a container adgroup that had a bunch of drug names as keywords. The DKI (Dynamic Keyword Insertion) did not work in the Yahoo Destination URL so I had to download the adgroup as an XLS and then individually enter destination urls for the individual keywords. This is not that painful if you are pretty good in excel. In another XLS, use Excel's Concatenate function to join the stem of the dest url with the keyword. then build these, copy them and paste as values back into the download field and then import.
