Yahoo Answers will shut down May 4, 2021, according to its support thread, and April 20th is the final day to post new questions or answer other user questions. In a hard shutdown, on May 4th Yahoo Answers will no longer be accessible and users will be redirected to the Yahoo home page.
Users can download their content but there's a deadline of June 30, 2021 and here's a link to instructions [help.yahoo.com...]

The top question on Yahoo Answers is now Who do you blame for yahoo answers getting shutdown?

Yet another icon UGC site disappears from the net. It seems the large community sites slowly leave the arena. After Geocities and DMOZ, what will be next? Or is Wikipedia the only one to survive?

Quora? Please and thank you.

These places need at least some quality control. Wikipedia and StackOverflow are good examples of that. Never saw any of that at Yahoo! Answers, and there's lots of junk on Quora as well.

(And on Pinterest, and...)

Hello,

Yahoo Answers to Shut Down

Good news. My name and address were published in one answer, 10 years ago, by a hater. Yahoo ignored all my requests to get this message removed, or at least edited. Then when the GDRP appeared, I submitted another request, which is still "pending".

So, personalty, I welcome this announcement.

That being said, of-course, I find it a pity that so much of the Internet's pioneer sites and concepts are disappearing, one after each other.
