Yahoo to Close Yahoo Groups December 14, 2019

Yahoo is to close Yahoo Groups entirely on December 14, 2019, with all data being permanently removed. Data uploads will continue for the time being until October 28, 2019, after which, no more content will be uploaded.

Yahoo says users have until December 14 to download all content.

Is there any free way to transfer Yahoo Groups content to another service? All I see is groups.io, but they want $110 for the privilege of using the import feature. I'd like to preserve the content of some legacy groups, but I'm not ready to shell out any funds. If it was active it might be a different story...
