Yahoo Inc. said Tuesday it is creating a laboratory in Bangalore, India as part of its research and development effort.The Web portal company named Rajeev Rastogi as vice president and head of the lab. He was the founding director of Bell Labs India.
Yahoo Labs-Bangalore will be responsible for making the Internet more simple and easier for advertisers and users, Yahoo said.
Shuffling the chairs...well, could be good, but from personal experience most of the time, all it means is that they are shuffling the chairs again & it's all sound, no fury.
Sorry, but all the talent I worked with there has since moved on. Their services aren't "essential" and their mail crashes my Mac every single time in Firefox.
And, Mail is their #1 product in terms of users, from all the reports I read. So if they can't get that right for a whopping N% of the market...and aren't mac users vocal?...then, what are they doing, but dropping further off the deep end?
Unless, of course, Mac's aren't the fastest growing computer operating system out there. I think those double digit figures I read from Apple convinced me, a long with all sorts of newbies (like me, who used a PC right up to 3 months ago) that Mac is the future.
