Can someone check the validity of an xml file?

Hi, I am on online affiliate and as such have an xml feed to work with provided by my supplier and I have tried to upload it to Google but Google doesn't like it! Also can an xml feed have a .php file extension?

If anyone is able to have a quick look to see the xml file I could pm the url.

Yes, an XML feed can have any extension it wants. What matters is that the content is valid XML. It also helps if the content is served with an appropriate mimetype, like text/xml or application/xml

Easy way to check the validity of xml:

Grab the XML content from the supplier's feed, and save it as an XML file. Then attempt to open it in Internet Explorer. If the XML is valid, it will be displayed with collapsible nodes.

There are lots of other tools for validating XML, but that is likely the simplest. If it's invalid, Explorer will also complain with an error message telling you what is wrong with the document.
