It's about time really, isn't it? A huge improvement all round - might sound daft but I definitely believe that a friendlier, brighter interface makes for a much more productive environment.

I was a little taken aback at first, but I like it. Not really crazy about the existing color schemes, but I can live with it. Some of my clients are going to log in and plotz, though.

No changelog or minimum requirements listed on their download page at all.

I do like the changes in this release very much. @ Kendo - that is odd but likely because they made a lot of changes but you can find what changed by going to make.wordpress.com.

What's better is what's yet to come. I'm really liking the direction WordPress is headed and the level of supporting services. The quality bar is being raised across the community and it's becoming more visible.

Regarding the DB updates I would love to know ahead of time what are the changes.

Watch out if you use a lot of plugins, many are not yet ready for 3.8

Especially NextGen Photo Gallery...2.0.40 is a mess! even by the authors own admission. The whole 3.8 thing made me rethink all future bleeding edge updates. I should have waited.

Currently NG 2.0.4 breaks Contact Form 7 as well as forcing JQuery on all pages. They have a lot of work to do.

I have no problem with contact Form 3.66 from bestwebsoft

Also if you are using Thesis 2.1, do not update just yet, lots of things are not yet working with 3.8
