BGP Hijack Redirects Traffic of 200 CDNs

Traffic of over 200 of large CDNs and cloud hosting providers was redirected with a Border Gateway Protocol via Rostelecom, and lasted for around an hour..

Impacted companies are a who's who in the cloud and CDN market, including big names such as Google, Amazon, Facebook, Akamai, Cloudflare, GoDaddy, Digital Ocean, Joyent, LeaseWeb, Hetzner, and Linode.

Good riddance and a kick in the nuts to about half the sites listed there. Half of them host scrapers and malicious hack bots probing for vulnerabilities.

One more reason not to add too many third parts between your server, and your visitors.
