AWS users are being warned that they may have misconfigured their settings which may allow theft of their data.
The messages discovered on the US firm's data stores varied.
Some just told the owners that their settings exposed data and others were more explicit in their warnings about what could happen.
One said: "Please fix this before a bad guys finds it."

Apparently, there are many abandoned sites that owners have simply forgotten the data is on the server. Scanners are out there looking for these misconfigurations, and, depending upon the operator, they may not be so kind when they discover a weakness.
