A federal judge has dismissed two blockbuster antitrust complaints against Facebook
[ the case ] ...accused Facebook of crushing competition by swallowing rivals, including Instagram and WhatsApp, and stifling other would-be competitors by cutting their access to its valuable data and systems.
...the judge dismissed the complaints "without prejudice," meaning the plaintiffs can file new complaints against the company.
The FTC’s Complaint says almost nothing concrete on the key question of how much power Facebook actually had, and still has, in a properly defined antitrust product market. It is almost as if the agency expects the Court to simply nod to the conventional wisdom that Facebook is a monopolist.
