Hi first post. sorry if this is wrong area. Were on a popular shared server and checked the sites today and could not connect too good, host support said server was under attack, im not even sure they knew it was under attack until i came to support.

But their response was to pull the plug on the entire server almost immediately!? shouldnt a multi million dollar data center have scripts and guys in place to handle things like this!?

it seems to me with proper scripts one can stop DDOS attacks pretty effectively.

I am pretty p$%^& off. my sites would still connect occasionally, now EVERYONES site has the plug pulled on it.
