I appreciate that doing it may well be the best way to find out, but as it sounds expensive, I concluded I'd be better off asking in this fine forum

Essentially, if one where running a nextag, hubpages or ehow what would one one need hardware wise for smooth operation,

I remember imdb before Amazon, and that was a dire experience, but the content kept me there

I assume that a single dedicated server would not do, plus might one require a specially broad pipe to the web.

I am also partial to iis7 with mysql or ms sql server
