I just got my first server for file serving, LAN, and eventual web hosting.

This is a Dell 2900 III running win2k3 Sever R2 SP2 x64.

It has 2 broadcom NetXtreme II nics each 1gigabit. After bridging them the i/o over the network actually seems slower, not faster, and the shelf text popup indicates the bridge is running at 1gigabit, not the 2gigabit speed I was expecting.
