Sometimes my mouse pointer moves on its own, without me moving my mouse.
Did using a different surface sort the problem?
If not... does it move slowly or a sudden jump? Are you touching the mouse at all when this happens? Sometimes I see the mouse pointer moving, but the mouse is actually moving because of tension in the tail!
oh well...some people huh?
the CIA and FBI have infiltrated their computer ... and have taken control of his system.
May be this has happened to your system KFish?!
Or possibly a 'loose diode'?! (Sorry, just plucked that one out the air, but sounds convincing eh?!) Personally I'd go for the surface issue as mentioned above - have you at least tried it on a book or something?
Not sure if it is the phone or Bluetooth causing the problem.
...mouse pointer moving when tiny hair sticks between LED and surface.
Light refraction?
...This happens when I am using the bluetooth headset and set the phone down in close proximity to the mouse's USB adapter...
May just be the enormous quanties of radiation oozing from the phone?! Or may be that your wireless mouse is using a frequency close to the bluetooth standard 2.45Ghz? Wireless (non-bluetooth) devices tend to operate on a number of different freqs, but not always. Apparently, newer bluetooth devices can use Adaptive Frequency Hopping (AFH) technology to help minimise interference with other wireless devices?
Mouse pointers are heavier now than in the past, so when not being used they tend to fall off the screen.
However owing to the magnetic properties of the monitor sometimes a gravity well appears on your screen and the mouse moves in unusual directions.
You can see the direction of gravity by dropping your monitor off a building while still plugged in, if you have a gravity well it may fall up.
Unfortunately your story is different, since you have a desktop. Have you tried different mouse?
I can’t think of anything inside your desktop that could cause this.
Now we have become friends and if by chance it does not move I feel worried.
Very old mouse BTW and there is some emotional attachment too. Don’t want to change as of now.
When I searched Google,
[google.com...]
I learned that there are many people like me who have the same problem.
So I need not worry and it’s not weird. Thanks for your views anyways.
