The computer boots up on my left monitor, but Vista itself identifies that monitor as monitor 2. I "fixed" it by moving the monitors around in the display settings, but I'd still like to know what's going on.
Any idea why this is happening?
Most dual-monitor cards boot-up on BOTH monitors!
Probably some issue with the BIOS on your adapter card, and/or Vista not having the right information for your card. I'd think that in most all cases, Vista gets what it needs from BIOS and/or DDC.
Your adapter card is responsible for both of those, so I would start at the forums for your card manufacturer.
