As much as I hate to use the V word, I got hit with a trojan downloader, to cut a very long and laborious story short I have managed to swat the wee blighter. However, one of the after effects is that I now get a RUNDLL message every time I boot up the pewter. It reads as follows:

Error loading C:\WINDOWS\system32\yewdfkfy.dll

I have tried looking via RegEdit to locate the correct file to delete, but no success as yet.

Any ideas out there?

Try looking in System.ini and Win.ini - these files are located in the Windows directory. They are still supported for legacy applications.
