Just happened tonight, there are lots of server load spikes for more than 3 hours already. The load will either go up to 50.0, go down to 0, then go to around 25, go down to 0 continously at an almost fix interval.

Then it went worst, will go up to 23, then 10, 23, then 10 for 5 times, then it will go down to 0 again.

It's as if someone is attacking my box... any reasons why server spikes will happen like that? Could it be spam attacks?

If spam attacks, this is the worst I've seen since we opened up our blogs.

Or could it be MediaWiki?
- Though, the wiki has been up for more than two weeks already, recently opened 2 ~ 3 days ago, and nothing happened.

It just started happening tonight, and I don't know for how long this will go on. Really weird... and the sites don't get high-traffic during this period...

Dunno what else could cause it. Maybe eAccelerator? But it's been running for a week too. :((
