I have a compaq 6400R and would like to enter the bios setup current config has it hanging on an option screen requiring a user intervention F1 to continue the boot) anyone have a clue how to get into the BIOS. Tried all the regulars, del , f2, etc.
i have mixed feelings about fast rebooting a production machine that decides to restart all by itself, but If theres a way to get past this screen in this case Ill risk it.
Plus (to be honest) it irks me not being able to get in. LOL
Thanks in advance

I found this
For newer products like the ProLinea, Deskpro, Deskpro XL, Deskpro, or Presario, press the F10 key while the cursor is in the upper right hand corner of the screen. This happens just after the 2 beeps when booting.

I've also found that keeping a key pressed (e.g. Esc) may cause the keyboard check to generate an error and an option to enter the bios. I've never tried it on a Compaq though.

Had an opportunity to re-boot the server and no dice. Cursor never appears in the Upper Right hand corner. Tried F10 throughout the boot cycle with no luck. Managed to cause the OSD in the KVM to enter a display configuration mode though...

Thanks anyway, every little bit of information adds to the sum
