I have two same url https://www.example.com/postal-codes-zips/location/ and https://www.example.com/postal-codes-zips/location/?lang=en with canonical:https://www.example.com/postal-codes-zips/location/ both of them.The best practises for solution of Alternate page with proper canonical tag

If English is your default language and the content on those two URLs are the same, I would suggest 301 redirecting requests for the URL with the parameter string to the URL without the parameter string.
