microsoft OneDrive is very handy, i like that i can have it as a folder as part of my regular filesystem on my win10 computer.
of course the free space runs out quickly ... i've not used goodgle drive, but i assume it can work in the same way.
i know that upgrading to larger space is relatively cheap, however ... the following factors apply to me (and i imagine many others here at WebmasterWorld)
- i like to have complete control over my data
- i have spare server storage capacity and bandwidth
- just because most people are doing something, (eg googledrive or onedrive) i don't think it is always the best way
my question is: is there an easy way of setting up my web server as a cloud file/storage? - just for myself and maybe a few family members (not as a commercial setup)
currently i'm on a centos server with win10 computer and both iphone and android devices (which ideally i'd like to be able to connect to the centos cloud)
i have searched online obviously - as i spend my life online, like many here! and there are so many options!
... so is anyone already doing this and can they recommend anything in particular or are they willing to share their setup for this?
