GitHub has announced GitHub Free and GitHub Enterprise.

GitHub free allows an unlimited number of repositories, but it's limited to three collaborators.

If you want any more than that you'll have to use GitHub Enterprise, which was previously Enterprise Cloud (formerly GitHub Business Cloud) and Enterprise Server (formerly GitHub Enterprise).

Since the PC first came out the whiz kids have face palmed "What the heck did we do!" Centralized computing made money on RENTAL of big iron ... the PC decentralized all that and since 1983 "they" have been trying to put the genie back in the bottle. :)
