I don't use this a lot, so I may have already been told this and forgotten.

I have 55 sites in the Console, and 54 of them are linked to the HTTP protocol instead of the HTTPS. I also have 2 properties for each; one with WWW, the other without. And the one without is always irrelevant, because via httaccess I reroute all traffic without the www to the one with www...

Anyway, how do I update all of them to review the HTTPS protocol instead of HTTP? Do I have to manually create all 55?

Yes.

Update all your links in each respective sitemap.xml to the HTTPS versions and upload to your server.

Then manually add the HTTPS properties.

Then in those new properties, submit those updated sitemap.xmls.*

As you likely already know, it takes several days for all the fields to start populating and may take up to 90 days for all the indexed documents to switch to the HTTPS version.

* If you don't have sitemap.xml files for all your sites, it's OK. It just may take longer for Googlebot to discover all the HTTPS documents on its own.

Sorry to say, but yes, that's right. The steps keyplyr describes are accurate. Don't delete the old non-https properties. Google sees them each as unique. The good news is that Validation is already set up.
