Hello, I’m working with a company that is in the process of developing a new website with a very large number of dynamically generated product pages. One product can come in several different configurations. Each of these configurations is a unique page. When I initially saw this, I noticed that the title tag and description were exactly the same and the content rendering on the page was 99% the same. The only difference in the page content is a word change and possible price change.
I mentioned this to the developers and they responded by adding the configuration word to the page title and description.
I made other suggestions after being informed of this.
But, it got me thinking on how google would of seen these pages with this very slight change in the title and description? Would it consider this duplication or would it take other elements into account (structure, context, url, etc…)?
