New Pages on Old Website

hi all,

I added a few more pages to an old website of 7 pages with several hundred visitors/day.
Now I have almost 14 pages and the traffic spiked up to almost 1K visitors/day. However, the pages dont show up on Google. It's been almost a week now. When you search for the content on each of the new pages, my URL shows up however when you search the Title (Main keywords) the site doesnt show up on SERPs.

Among the 14 pages, when you search for the main Title Keywords and filter the search for (show past week), all pages show up except for 2 pages which are exactly my main target. I am wondering why this is happening. Could it be because the CPC of one of them and the Number of searches/month for the other term is pretty high and raised a red flag?

The content is pretty similar to my other sites however, since this is an old domain and high ranked site I decided to move the content over and remove the content from the newer sites that barely ranked.

Am I making any sense? It's been only a week now since the sites update. Also I was wondering is it possible to get decent traffic and rank for the new pages within a month or do I have to wait a few months or a year.

Do you use (WMT) SCT with a sitemap?

Googlebot MUST first crawl your domain after you added the new pages and it MUST first crawl a page that links to them.

Updating a sitemap in Google's SCT speeds this process up.

Crawl frequency is a factor of PageRank and while you cannot see PageRank anymore an old PR3 page (just an example) might take 3-4 weeks to get re-crawled without any help from a sitemap or new links to the pages.

This suggests that Google has crawled the new pages. (In any case it would be wildly improbable to find they hadn't, unless all the new pages are linked only from some other page so obscure, they'll go weeks without crawling it.) They're just being hiccupy about indexing-- do content and title go into different databases?-- which is an interesting question in its own right.

hi, no the content and title do not go into any database. This is an old site with a few static pages. I did not update the Sitemap yet. Good call. I will do so. However as Lucy24 suggested I think all pages have been crawled.

Oh ok. Sorry, my bad. I don't think so.

So yesterday I submitted the updated sitemap. I also did a bit more SEO on the links and images. The homepage as well as the older pages shows cache ("It is a snapshot of the page as it appeared on 11 Jun 2015 15:39:36 GMT)") at a later date than the newer pages.

Surprisingly the home page is the latest (2 days ago), and then the older pages (4 days ago), and the new pages (10 days ago).

They're just being hiccupy about indexing

How long does the hiccup take? When you google sentences or long key phrases from the content the site shows up on SERPS however, when you google the main keywords (the title, URL, h1 tag, which are all the same for each page) the site doesnt show up and basically im not getting referral traffic from these new pages.

So back to the main question:

How long should I wait before expecting some Google love? (I know this a typical question with no definite answer but I could use some data and learn from your experiences)

My site has been live for about 10 years. The new pages are not unique content but a modified version of info gathered from multiple sources. Some are exact copy/pasted material from my own website (I removed the content from my other sites after posting on this site). I'm just hoping I dont get penalized cause the copy/pasted material is from my own pages which dont exist anymore. I simply decided to move them to this domain since It was receiving more backlinks than my other sites.

My old pages rank pretty well and I'm receiving decent traffic. However, my new pages still dont show up for the main keywords (2 word popular phrases). When I google the sentences in the content the site does show up, but not for the main 2 word phrases (which I repeated in the URL, Title, H1 tag)

Google shows around 27 Million results, 4 million, 18 million and ... for the keywords for the new phrases im trying to target , and for some of them I rank on the 8th page and for some I dont rank at all.
