Website conversion from business to personal

How do I persuade "the world" that a site is now personal, not a business?

A site of mine was ten years ago a business. The business was discontinued, and the site became a personal blog. Yet some services such as Yellow Pages and the like *still* list it as a business. Crazy after all these years. Is there some tinkering I may do with the site to make it more obvious as to its non-business status? Or is this simply a matter of long attrition?

If it is causing a problem it might be worth the time to look into editing some of those listings if you can. If not, they should have a contact method so you could let them know. If it doesn't cause any issues for you other than confused traffic, it might be an idea to redirect clicks from certain referers to a page just for them, or to post a note they are likely to see: "Looking for the old XYZ business?" All depends on how much of a bother this traffic is.

Note - redirecting using referers is often not practical, browsers don't always include that info.
