There was a number of replies to my question of annoying website issues at: [

I would like to take the discussion a bit further (because many of the problems occur online or offline regardless).
What user interface issues do you hate.
Here are some of mine to get you started:
1) Anything on a page that can be accessed but cannot be seen. Android, for example has a menu that can be dragged down from the top of the screen but cannot be seen. Given a blackberry tablet, I was online in seconds but took me over half an hour to work out how to type in a web address I already knew. Couldn't even get to google.com (other good search engines are available) which would have helped!
2) Gnome 3. Go to the power option, which is visible (good) but only suspend is available. To shutdown, you have to go onto the internet and search how to shut a computer down. Stupid, stupid, stupid. All basic functions should be obvious. Guess how? You have to click on the power icon, to bring up the menu, but then you have to hold the alt key to change this to shutdown... Even worse, you have to then click on 'shutdown' to get to restart! Obvious? Yes. If you programmed it. To anyone else, useless.
3) Microsoft Office Ribbon. It's little pictures of things to do the function you require. Great, so save is a file, right? Yes! And a macro looks like...erm..., well, it looks like a list of text so a list of horizontal lines? Maybe. It's not.
If anyone ever has to leave your software or website to do search to find out how to do any function, you have failed. Completely failed. Unless that function is impossible.
What is the worst UI you have seen recently?
