using same content in different language

english & hindi news magazine

Hi,

One of my client is running english newspaper online and he has approx 80 fresh news a day to submit which are all original news writter by the writer & editors team.

Now he want to publish the same magazine in hindi language with the all same english content translation to hindi.

Can you advice me that how google will take it and is it good to go?

There is plenty of bilingual sites out there, its a legal requirement in some jurisdictions. I don't "know" but I think that the governments of Belgium, Quebec and Wales would have been complaining very loudly if there was an issue.

Thanks a lot for the reply. Client would be using english to convert the news in indian Hindi language, so still do he need some legal permission or he might have to face legal issues?

and since the content would be totally different & will be used only on .in domain in india. would it be a problem then?

Please suggest.

If you own the English content then there is no legal requirement.

Yes, the English content is very much owned by client and written by his team itself.

So there is no issues if he use his owned English content to translate it into hindi news magazine?

and i believe Google will also not take it as duplicate until unless there are multiple copy of english or hindi.

translations are not considered duplicates.
