also this kind of thing (and i'll be shot down no doubt) is rubbish, ISP's etc are keen to sign up to get good publicity, but quite honestly i don't think anyone will ever be found this way.

I agree that it is probably not a great fit for commercial site (I have not put it on my main money site). However using the iframe you can display both the missing persons information and your useful links and therefore not lose the visitor.

And although not quite the same thing, pictures published in newspapers helped to find a missing person in France recently, so any publicity is better than no publicity.

well that girl wasn't strictly missing, she'd run away with her teacher, it's slightly different.

So you're saying that their pictures should have been on the 403 page instead?
