TWC gave me a modem-router, I logon to the box and saw internal ip addresses range from 192.168.0.10 to 192.168.0.15

Then I plugged 4 ethernet wires to the 4 ports of the router for 4 devices, then I do wireless access with 2 machines. Everything works.
every machine can access internet.

When I tried a 3rd wireless device, it took a long time to 'connected' and I found out it duplicates the 192.168.0.12 internal ip address. As such, the wired machine using this ip quit working. Or the 3rd wireless device never got 'connected'.

My question is: Is there a way to expand the internal ip addresses range so I can use more machines on the TWC modem-router?

Or is there other way to increase the number of machines tying to the box without using one more router?

see if there are any DHCP config settings available on your modem/router to expand that IP range.
otherwise you may need to add another router to one of the router outputs.

Very good idea. I went to DHCP and set the number of from 6 to 10, I have more internal IP addresses now. I played with more machines and they do not conflict any more. If I need more, I will set the DHCP higher next time. Thanks.
