Dear Friends,

Please refer these 5 websites

1. www.pcvirusproblems.com
2. www.freeonlinepcsrepair.com
3. www.laptopdisplayproblem.com
4. www.livepctroubleshooting.com
5. www.onlinecomputerrepairservice.com

In the bottom you would be able to see the links going to many pages of the website www.askpcexperts.com (Eg: www.askpcexperts.com/computer-peripheral-support/hp-printer-support.html ;
www.askpcexperts.com/anti-virus-help/virus-troubleshooting.html ).

The surprising thing is that all these pages doesn't show the link of above 5 websites which have good PR as well.

Can you please suggest what may be the reason for this problem and how can we get the back links.

Regards,

tedster

Hello sandy0444 and welcome to the forums.

First, I'll mention that we don't normally allow this kind of domain mention. There are many reasons, including protecting the sites involved from malicious activity. For that reason, I've removed them.

--------

That is not "natural" linking. It looks like paid footer links to me, and it probably does to Google and other search engines, too. In cases like that they just zero out any value... if they don't actually penalize the sites involved.

There's no way to get ranking credit for that kind of linking, as far as I know. There are two reasons: 1) Footer links are devalued today by the "reasonable surfer" model 2) Search engines do not want paid links to give a ranking boost

@Tedster, on a related note..

What's your take on footer links which include editorial endorsements ? For Example: Website Design by XYZ Inc in the sitewide footer with "Website Design" anchor linking to respective landing page on XYZ.com

I don't see such footer links being devalued at all. ( talking @ Google only )
