Report: US Feds Seek Net Encryption Backdoors [news.cnet.com]

The Obama administration will seek a new federal law forcing Internet e-mail, instant-messaging, and other communication providers offering encryption to build in backdoors for law enforcement surveillance, the New York Times reported today.

Communication providers, apparently including companies that offer voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) services, would be compelled to reconfigure their systems so that police could be guaranteed access to descrambled information.

Invasion 102: not all invasions are brute force, the real threat has been the infiltration of alien interests in to the (not our) government. To fix things we have to reinstate the freedom of speech and be able to freely discuss ideas that the propaganda machine enforce as being "offensive", "racist", or otherwise "hateful". You simply can't talk truth in regards to politics without being labeled as that which you are fighting.

I do think there are some good folks in the federal government. In example there is a turf war in the intelligence agency in which they are fighting the outsourcing of all of the wiretapping equipment and other communications equipment to companies in Israel. That has allowed a lot of organized crime on so many levels to easily avoid law enforcement and to say that it's some sort of coincidence or conspiracy theory clearly shows a sign of an agenda.

So do we get to act on our freedom of speech effectively to defend our country when the topics are brought up or are we going to endlessly be doomed to being outcast when we're the ones being productive members of society?
