I received this kind offer today:

"Currently, we are anonymously scraping your site, and have extended an olive branch to offer you 10% of the ad revenue for your site's channel if you will provide us with a more stream lined method of picture/URL capture."

Hey 10%! Where do I sign?

You should sign them up and then set a trap with the streamlined method and block them :)

For starters, check the email headers + whois the domain name.

Chances are the email originates from their server. Analyze the requests from that range and blackhole those suckers.

When you detect the scraper action send him the images as a binary stream that never ends (at a very low bitrate).
