You'll need to look at things like article submissions, social networking and emailing webmasters that run relevant websites to see if they'll link to your site.

Also, you'll need to remove the URL of your site as self-promotion is not allowed here.

Free submission to the big search engines is the best single thing that you do BUT:
You need content on your home page that they will index
That content needs to be sufficiently distinctive to get you high in the SERPS for key search arguements
You need some good quality links to bring both organic traffic and to help the search engines. Where you get links depends on what niche you are operating in.
Creating a site map and registering it with those search engines that support the format is a help
Patience - one month is not a long time to get a new site indexed and showing in the SERPS

Make sure that your content reflects what people will be searching for. If the site is for a bricks and mortar business then mention the location up front as that will be a key element in searches (the bigger the location the more difficult it is to get to the top of the SERPS).
DO NOT HAVE A HOME PAGE THAT IS JUST A BIG PICTURE

My recommendation would be to try to find out the keywords and phrases that could be the most important for your website. You are looking for words and phrases that people looking for your website are likely to use in the search engines.

So what you are looking for is "the phrase that pays!" one or many of them.

Welcome aboard M_Husain, this is not enough time to expect to be indexed yet. Search engine positioning is the one thing about the Internet that is *not* about immediacy when most other things are. While you're waiting, concentrate on making your site better, add new content every day or at least every week, promote it via legitimate means, and wait it out. It can take between 3 - 6 months before you start seeing results.

Brett's 26 Steps [webmasterworld.com] are still valid today, work on all of those.

Social networking is a good way to jump start things, share it on Facebook, Twitter, etc.

Hello Friends......

Google has one such business opportunity where all you require is to have a blog. All you will do is put some posting on your web pages then register with Google AdSense for free. Google will go ahead and
put adverts on your blog that are related to your posting.

The other business idea would be to enroll with affiliate marketing program like Amazon. Being an associate with Amazon is free of charge. Once you enroll load there links onto your blog, anyone who follows this links and purchase product, Amazon will pay you a commission.

Thanks

To promote your Website free you need to add your Webpage title, Meta description and Meta keywords. Create a text file containing your promotion data. Select your search engines and directories. Add your URL. Maintain records of all your promotion actions. Add an e-mail signature file. Promote your Website off-line. Promote your Website as often as possible.

Then after you will do submission like that article submission, blog posting, social submission.

The absolute best way to promote your site for free is by optimizing it for search engines, period. It's not an instant solution, but it IS the best long term solution so keep at it. It will take several months.

Don't waste your time with social media. It takes a lot of time to manage a successful social media campaign, and the ratio of SM users who are ready to spend money is very low. That should only come AFTER you've optimized your site. Search engines, on the other hand, will send you traffic from people searching for the exact specific items you are selling. It's silly to ignore the audience that is ready to spend money on exactly what you're offering and focus on the audience that's relaxing talking to their friends and maybe, if you're lucky, you can hook a few. The time invested in managing a social media campaign could instead be spent on writing unique content for your site that search engines will index.

About 7 years ago (before I knew better) I was spending $11k a month on AdWords. Today I spend zero. Around 2005 I started focusing on SEO, and just kept at it, decreasing my AdWords budget as my organic traffic increased. I still use AdWords for the content matching on sites running AdSense, but not in the search results because I get more (free) organic traffic.

Spend some time in the Google forums here and read about all of the people freaking out how their rankings drop every time there is a Google update, while those of us who focus on pure content and don't do any back-links are getting more traffic.

Backlinks are being phased out. I don't even bother with them anymore. You'll work your way up faster by writing unique content than by focusing on back-links.
